Hello,
Here is a few pictures of Luna who we are guessing about 5 or 6 weeks along, what do you guys think? Also when she lays on her side I can feel a bump just under her rib cage, is that a kitten?( I don't press on it or anything). Please let me know what you all think?
Thanks Kat and Luna
PS- I hope the pics work

Hey, the pictures need to be uploaded to a website like photobucket.com in order to see them.

I am not sure about the bump it could be a kitten, is it always in the same spot? I am sure somone else who has had kittens will know more.

The photos don't come up for me either.....hmmm...a bump can mean a kitten...but I'm not a vet. Has Luna seen a vet?? How do you know that she is pregnant (or is that a guess?)

sorry..the pics don't work. I'll try photo bucket. I am pretty sure she is pregnant. She is an indoor kitty and got out a few times about five or six weeks ago when I was out of town. She is now getting plumper, her nipples are larger and pinker, and she hasn't come into heat anymore. So I am pretty sure she is pregnant. I will take her to the vet when I have a free day... I am so busy right now
I'll try the pics again. The bump is gone??? Maybe it was just the way she was lying. It felt like a kitten but ??? I will ask the vet when I see her

Thanks

Make sure that Luna has no more accidental trips outside...at least until she has had her kittens weaned and has been spayed.

If she is indeed pregnant, you can begin feeling the babies about 2 weeks before the due date.
I would take her to the vet to determine if she is pregnant, and if not, have her spayed at that time. She will live a longer, happier life, and not be as determined to get out.
Good luck!!

I was going to have her spayed but couldn't afford it at the time. I had a neighbor watching my animals when I went to my aunt's house in LA for about a week about 5 weeks ago. I told him to let my dogs out twice a day, and he let my cats out too(my other two are spayed). I was not happy. I didn't even know until I questioned him, when I noticed her starting to gain weight and her nipples changing. I will get her to the vet as soon as I can

Oh, goodness. That must have been scarey. We had our son at 3 years old, keep a door open, and one of our boys got out. It didn't take us too long to figure it out, as he is with us at all times, and it doesn't take long to start wondering where, Toulouse, "the velcro kitty" is. He was altered at 11 weeks, before he came to live with us, so we were fortunate.
We have trapped a few ferals and spayed them, then took them to live at our neighbors farm, as they were too feral to become tame. The farm is very large, and they are at less risk of cars. It seems the more that we find and spay, then here comes another one. We have a baby that is living on our back porch for a couple of weeks, I haven't seen a mother. He/She is so fast, that any noise will make him/her take off. We made a shelter and placed blankets for her and have given food and water for out. My hopes is to begin gaining trust and take the baby in for vaccinations and early alter when it gets old enough. I think there could be hopes for gaining trust, as I would say the kitten is only around 8-10 weeks old, but I haven't had much experience. I have been reading many posts in the other sections of the forum, that are helpful.
Good luck!!
