Some archeologist, 5,000 years from now, when they unearth my apartment, is going to state it was a center for a pagan religion that worshipped birds.

He or she is going to state that because of the hundreds of colored feathers hanging from sticks they are going to find because I can't figure out where they hide them for the life of me.

I go through 3 or 4 a week.

With us it is toy mice and ping pong balls that go missing at hte rate of several a week! I don't know what a future historian might make of those.

They'd probably just think I was a wierdo who worshipped a Mouse Overlord. I have so many fuzzy mice in this house...

Ooh, ooh, I found my "shrine" of fuzzy mice! The kitties love to play with their toys in the kitchen and dining room because the wood floor allows for a lot of long distance flicks. A few months ago, when I decided to clean under the stove, I pulled out the drawer, and lo and behold! Mice! (And aluminum foil balls ... and milk jug lids ... etc., etc.)

Hairties and que-tips for me... although we have a green chair that seems to collect a lot of toys underneath it...

What kind of rituals do you think these archeologists will come up with for us? The symbolic "drowning the mouse" and "homage to the sun?"
