hi, did i read that you have to have a certain number of posts before you can add an avatar & sig? is that why no one can find the link to add one in the CP? i'm familiar with how to do this stuff but the links aren't where the FAQ say they should be. how many posts do you have to have before you can add an avatar and sig? will the links just appear in the CP after a certain number?

Hi Leese,
It can be confusing.

I will try to explain....

Near the top of your TCS screen is a bar with several options...
User CP, located on the left side of that bar, is the one you want.
Just click that button, a new screen will open with your CP menu on the left of that screen...

Just click on Edit Signature and Edit Avatar.
Instructions will be included.

Hi, welcome to TCS...

That's a great question!
In order to get an avatar, simply go to your "CP" control panel, located on the top bar/upper left end and click on the "edit avatar" button.
This will bring up your choices for avatars.
Then, to choose the one you'd like, just click the white spot next to your favorite, and then click "save changes" at the bottom.

As a kitten, you have a choice of 5 avatars. The number of choices you get goes up as your post count does, until you reach 700 posts, when you will be able to upload your own personal avatar.

Do you have to be a paying member or have so many posts before being able to post pictures? I know the little box that is for adding pictures but when I have tried to click on it there is no place for the url, it just brings up an add. I think I only have 100 posts or so, when will I be able to post pictures?
Thus far I have just copied the link to my photobucket account to show off Raven. Is that okay?

You can post pictures now.

I'll try to explain how to do it from your Photobucket account.

Go to your Photobucket account...
under the picture that you want to post,
you will see these options...

Email & IM
Direct Link
HTML Code
IMG Code

Right click the IMG Code option....
a small yellow box should pop up and say Copied.
Then all you do is click the "paste" option on your internet browser....
the picture will appear when you preview your post.

You are allowed to have a signature by now. All you need is 5 post and 24 hours in membership. Go here and request a signature.
