My two 3-week-old kittens have started fighting! They would prance, claw at, screech, try to choke each other for long periods of time. It looks really violent and I stopped them several times by clapping my hands loudly, but then they just rush onto each other again. I just put one of them in the bathroom and the other in the closet but I'm scared they'll start fighting again. What should I do to stop their fighting??

3 Weeks old?? hmm, are you sure they are not playing, because at that age their hormones haven't kicked in enough to cause them to fight. When Kittens play it can look pretty vicious but that is normal. My cats prance around and roll with each other, they love to wrestle and at times it looks like they are fighting. (where is the mom cat at?) I wouldn't lock them away in the closet either, that can stress them out!! Kittens will growl, hiss, spat at each other and even objects!! They are learning to use all their senses. (My kitten use to hiss at the door!!) It is perfectly normal. (Do you see any blood?)

You DO NOT spray 3 Week old Kittens with water!! Again at this age I do belive they are playing. Are they from the same litter also? 3 Weeks is also way to young to start giving treats. (although they can start on kitten food, but they should still be with their mom.)

Don't worry this is normal for kittens- they can't really hurt eachother and it is a essential part of their development. My "adult" cats still play fight, and no one has every gotten hurt.

That's cat play for you!
No worries!
But where's the mom? They're pretty young to be away from her.

Please don't separate them - it could terrify them, especially without their mother there. They need each other to learn about being cats, and have no sense yet of right or wrong or anything much else but being alive.

ooooo They am sure are just playing. They learn this way and when one bits to hard you will hear the yelp. They learn hay man that hurt I dont want to play if you bit me. 3 week old kittens are playful a little not usually this much but they am sure dont fight. They need there mommy so try to keep them together.
