I know its annoying, but you can't say the driver doesn't know how to use his signal!

Thanks everyone! This is making me feel better!

I use mine on the main roads... I never see anyone use them in parking lots!

Yes, the signal is superfluous after I figured out the guy was crossing the line.

Random comments on turn signals - I thought that cars no longer came equipped with signals since I saw so few using them. Or maybe they forget to fill the signal fluid?

I always use my signal (even when no one is around; primarily because it is habit). I also use it because I figure there are times that I don't see someone clearly and the signal will give them a chance to let me know they're there. Even in designated turn lanes so others know that I plan to turn.

Oh dear ! I am a bit hit 'n' miss with mine

In the UK it is quite common for people not to use their signals in car parks and i must admit i very rarely use them here.

Drivers here have a habit of not using them on round-a-bouts which i must admit does make my blood boil when u r waiting to pull out

I have had people just bang their brakes on in the middle of the road and make a turn. I guess its a case of chillin' and count to 10

Oh my, yes!! You end up sitting at the round about for ages not knowing who is going where!! *grumble*

I use my indicators for the majority of the time, but not usually in car parks, as there is generally no need to! (that is unless you're in Ikea car park!

That drives me nuts too. I always say, "Yeah, I can see what you're doing now."

I use turn signals religiously (although not in parking lots if there's no one around to see the signal). One time I was driving reeeeeally late at night with my roommate (before I got married) and had my signal on at a light. There literally were no other cars on the road. She said, "Who you signalling for, the gophers?"

Dick and I are convinced that turn signals are an optional feature on cars anymore. I only use my turn signal when I have to slow down traffic to turn, when I'm at a stop sign/light, when I change lanes, or when I'm turning into a parking spot. I dont always use it when getting on to an off ramp as I am doing the same speed as everone else as I exit the freeway.

OOOOhhhhh.... don't even get me started. People's driving has the power to make me mad like nothing else..... (trust me on this one)

Aside from blinkers, the "three flash blink", not slowing down when coming to a stop (I think they're going to hit me!), NOT LOOKING both ways when pulling out! (I've a lot of near misses on this one), people who don't wait their turn at a four-way stop...... I have to drive through one nearly every day and lately people (especially people who drive big trucks) have just been barrelling their way through.

I'm sure no one here does it, but where I love, it seems like driving a big truck gives them a sense of entitlement...
"I can do what I want." Considering I have a geo... perhaps I have a neapoleonic complex??

Nope, same here in Michigan! It's either SUVs or Pickups...heck, really any car that costs $25K or more and ALL think that just because they're bigger means they own the roads. A couple of years ago I was first to turn right...one big truck pulled right in front of me from my left as if I wasn't even there. The finger salute was given and many many car honks...those are the days I wish I had a trash car that I could drive it into the person. sorry...road rage....

Oh no, I absolutely understand! The only thing is, I'd be scared to drive into them because I DO drive a geo... the whole crumple-age issue just kind of gets to me. *shudders* Car accidents really scare me.
