I logged on to check the weather, and found the following story. This hit WAY to close to home. This is maybe.. 10-15 mins. from my house. I will warn you, the pictures are gut-wrenching. I was in tears.

How did noone know? I don't understand. All the poor animals, but this happens everyday. She probably thought she was doing a good thing... but.. *sigh* poor babies

The 'cat lady' phenomenon... I don't think I'll ever understand how people can believe they love their animals, and yet not admit they don't have the means to care for them--and thereby allow them to suffer...

Such people are simply not thinking realistically.

Very true, and unfortunately it happens all the time. This lady probably thought she was HELPING these poor animals.

Am not so sure. I mean I think the raccoon in the freezer was odd. So many dead animals. Maybe she has a mental problem. I con not look at it again to re read it. I had night mares over it... I was taking a nap.

I guess pictures don't really affect me that much... The story itself is what did it for me.

The woman who had all those animals is, at least, being taken care of... I assume she will probably be judged "not guilty by reason of insanity" and forced to get help.

And the animals are getting help, now, too; so the nightmare is over for them, too.

All in all... it's very sad that it's happened; but still encouraging that something is being done.

What I don't understand is how people can live like that. I mean, I don't do the dishes every day and there are clothes all over my floor, but I clean things!
Aside from the obvious horror and the fact that this woman shouldn't be taking care of herself let alone "pets". You always see the people on COPS going into someone's house and there's trash piled up everywhere and cat poop everywhere and its just a disaster. The people usually need as much help as the cats. And since they live like that they obviously don't understand what's wrong with it for the pets.

I always feel so bad for the kitties. And the dogs, because a lot of the dogs are put down for being mean.
