this sickens me.

There's a petition going around already to prevent this

An April Fool's Day joke, perhaps?
From what I know, it's for real.

If Paris Hilton played Mother Teresa, I definitely would not be able to stomach it and there's no way I would see the movie. I doubt I'm alone and hopefully the movie producers will figure this out.

The first thing I thought when I saw that was
And then I started thinking.... not only does she represent everything Mother Teresa was against, she doesn't look anything like her.
Oh, and she's a terrible actress. I doubt this'll happen, and if it does nobody will go see it except to make fun of it, which is sad.

I doubt it will happen, why would someone waste money making a movie that hardly anyone will see.

I would think it is some kinda joke but if it isnt...

Now that would really have to be "some" acting.

There is NO way she could pull that off

That was my first thought too!

Why would they even think about having her play that role? Look at her past, she does NOT deserve to have a roll like that!

My thoughts exactly. How disgusting and she is already a poor role model to so many young people as it is with out disrespecting such a wonderful and giving person like Mother Theresa! Why not choose someone who's actually done something for someone besides herself? I would be outraged if this were true!

I could not help but laugh. The director either lives in a box or has an "any famous person will do" mentality.

I agree that it would be extremely disrespectful.

At the same time, are there ANY actresses out there that are of great enough character so as to give a woman as amazing and important as Mother Theresa justice?

Sounds like someone's trying to pull our legs.
I don't think she will get the part, and I don't think, if she does, anyone would watch it.

Pull the other one, it has bells on..

Mother Theresa had, in my mind a few problems however, but a lot of her he good deeds and some of her oddities are listed Here

Yeah, I'm feeling the tug, too.

On that note! hahahah (laughing at the thought of Paris in any movie other than X rated)

Though many have conviction in the notion that Mother Teresa was THE living saint, there have been many claims that her organization was somewhat corrupt and her methods of caring for the poor and sick rather Dickensian...

Now,on the other hand... if I hear that they are casting Adam Sandler in the role of Gandhi...!!

But I digress....

Well IF paris even knows who mother teresa is, I'm sure she'll take one look at the photo of her and say "That doesn't make me look hot."

She turned down the role because she'd "prefer to play a more fun character". Just saw the clip from "Entertainment Tonight" on "The Soup". This was real, and most likely, the director only knew her by name or face.

whew, that's a relief. I didn't follow Mother Theresa and I'm no die-hard Catholic, but I can't stomach the idea of Paris Hilton playing that role *puke*
post #22 of 23
Glad to hear it won't be happening. I myself am not a Catholic but the thought of Paris Hilton doing a role like that makes me sick. She is a terrible role model for young women.

That's all I have to say
