I was sitting at home watching T.V. (I took 1/2 a day off to study, but didn't get any studying done). I feel totaly exhausted today. I'm on my second cold in a week and don't know if that's what is making me feel blue. I'm no super depressed or anything, just blue
I think it's because I feel stuck. It's a long story, but I'm getting my masters and I want to get a new job but I can't start looking till this semester is over. After that I'm hoping to find something. Also, I feel so overwhelmed by everything I have left to do this semester. I wish I had time to just sleep for a day, but No such luck. I must push on. Any way I was just wondering when your feeling blue what do you do to make yourself feel better?

Keep everything in perspective. I may feel sick or stressed, but for a 21 year old guy, I'm lucky I'm here and not in Iraq having to worry about being bombed or shot at.

As bad as we have it, somebody always has it worse.

I just throw on some good music or clean, simple things like that do the trick.

The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
Sorry you are feeling blue. I feel like this sometimes too.
Usually I go to the gym, call my sister or Mum, draw a silly picture, cuddle Mark or the cats, come on TCS or like Jason I clean clean clean!!!

Yup, well I'm totally in the same spot - feeling not so happy

The weather isn't helping either - rainy and icky sort of day.

So, I plan on putting on my new Nike's and hitting the gym until I feel better, lets hope that works.

It will Help Mackenzie, I was like that yesterday, I thought my head was going to explode and the gym sorted me right out! Leave your worries at the door!

I'm pretty blah myself here lately... I think mine is because I'm really stressed about work, and money, and life in general... We are going to comedy night tonight so I hope that'll help blow off some steam!
But I have found cross stitching (Thanks TCS, you've created a monster) helps mellow me out to!

I do *something*. I know it sounds simplistic but seriously, the more I sit around the house the worse I feel. If I can force myself to get out and be somewhat active, it makes such a big difference.

For studying, a change of scenery helps me a lot. Starbucks is my favorite place to study. It's pretty quiet, and without distractions like my computer or chores (funny how important scrubbing every litterbox in the house seems when you really have more important stuff to do!). Plus hazelnut soy lattes always put me in a better mood.

This cracked me up because I was just talking to someone last night about how when I really don't want to do something I'll start to clean. It's become my socially acceptable form of escape.
Thanks everyone, I'm feeling a little better today, but it's another rainy, yucky day. I'm trying to keep in mind that since I'll be off next week Friday, I can take that day to just chill out & relax.

I really think I need to get a new job. I was hesitating on it, but the enviornment here is getting worse & worse. People have a crappy attitude & they are taking their frustrations out on each other. There's two guys in particular that are acting like children & are picking on people they don't like. I'm just really tired of this place. I wish I could leave early today, but I took 1/2 a day yesterday.

Oh boy have I been there before. I used to eat...bad idea!! I thought..well if I'm hungry then I will need to take a break (or rationalize that I'm going to take a break anyway), so I tricked myself into being hungry. Way bad. The only thing I can say is block out everything that needs to be done and focus on one thing at a time. When that thing is done get the next thing. Easier said than done.

If I'm down, I'll watch a funny movie/TV show, get outside if its nice, go shopping or play with the cats. Usually they do something funny. If I at least laugh, then I know I'm not totally down!
