Ophelia is in big trouble with me...

I was in my walk-in closet last night when I noticed something that wasn't right...white satin and lace. My wedding dress, and it wasn't in the storage bag like it should have been. So I take it off the rod...the bag is SHREDDED! There are little puncture marks all up the back of the skirt, runs in the satin. Thankfully, she hadn't gotten to the bodice with all the beading and full lace. She also shredded the bag on a bridesmaid dress I have, though I am certainly not terribly attached to that one like I am to my own wedding gown.

Apparently the little princess likes to sleep on satin...and velvet. I have velvet dresses in that part of the closet too that are covered with white and black (short) fur.

She is lucky that I LOVE her as much as I do...

OMG !!!
I'm glad you found it before she got any further.

You may have to be her highness a velvet cat bed.

Oh goodness! They do always find what they're not allowed, don't they?!!

Sorry your dress has damage, but as you say, at least she didn't make it to the bodice!

It certainly sounds like Princess Ophelia requires a velvet and Satin four poster kitty bed!! (feather stuffed, of course!!)

Maybe she is just wanting you to stage her own wedding to Trent?

Don't have a choice...there are only 2 closets in the entire place, and Earl has his Star Wars Toy collection in the other closet (which is where the dress is now, on the floor - there is no place to hang it up), and my closet is one of the two places we could put a litterbox.

As much as I should be angry with her for it, I just can't bring myself to be furious with her. Yes, I am mad, but gosh - there are other things going on right now that are much more important than a dress that I won't ever wear again regardless of what she does to it. The damage isn't horrible; it is still in one piece (which is more than I can say for my bouquet, which wasn't her fault at all). And we have the pictures...
