Husband said on his way out the door this morning, "What's for dinner Hon?" I said, "Whatever you want to make Elmo!" He said, "Ok, you leave it to me!"

All I can say is WOW, or, we're having take out!

Beth, I know your husband cooks, but how about the rest of you?

Max will cook, but I usually do. He does nearly all the cleaning so its only fair. Most nights we don't cook at all, though, just nibble throughout the evening. Very bad for you and we are very naughty, but we're so tired after work that all the animals get fed properly and we just lounge about!

When Maxey cooks, it's always something totally gourmet and he goes the whole shebang, sets up table and gets out the wine and candles - and of course makes me admire and lavishly praise his handiwork before we get to actually eat!

I am the cook. Aaron usually makes pizza on Sunday though.

I rarely cook (maybe once evey 2 to 3 months). John does 99% of the cooking and I do the cleaning up after dinner.

I do most of the cooking, even though he is better at it. He cooks pretty often on his day off, unless it is a nice sunny day, then he rides his bike and we have pizza or Chinese.

I'm it! I do all the cooking, cleaning up, cleaning, washing, ironing - I do it all. John gets home about an hour before I do and usually sits and watches TV until I get home and get dinner ready.

On the other hand, I don't have to worry about my car servicing - he changes the oil, does any brake work, timing belt, pretty much anything any mechanic would do. He also does all the outdoor work - snow removal in the winter, mowing/trimming lawn in summer, takes care of spraying the trees, etc.

He's always working on some project or other so he's definitely not a lazy man - we just have our own areas. I honestly prefer him to stay out of my kitchen. (Yes - it's MY kitchen!)

John cooks sometimes, but most of the time I do the cooking. He's a good cook tho, he can make a pretty good Hamburger Helper!

I WISH B would cook. He's better at it than I am. But he gets easily frustrated and doesn't have the patience to chop anything up. So I get the lovely task of cooking.

This may change when I go back to school this fall...but I don't think he realises this yet.

I cook, and plan all our meals, and do the grocery shopping. And do most of the dishes and most of the rest of the housework.
D only does it when someone is coming round, then he frantically rushes round trying to make the apartment look habitable.

Man - it seems as if I am very lucky. Hubby does the grocery shopping, most of the cooking, cleans the litter boxes, vaccuums and does all of the yard work! I better go home and tell him I appreciate him!

Heh I hope someday Chris will do this too! Right now he can't drive my SUV...its a standard and I grew up driving them, he never needed to.

So he does the laundry
. I do most of the cooking though. He says the only thing he can make is cheesecake...well we are getting married soon and I'm not going to listen to that line for our whole marriage. Last night I made dinner and after, I said your making dinner tomorrow right? He responded...I guess so... hehe. He said that last week though...but I excuse him then because thats when tragedy struck with our litter and I didn't eat for a day or so.

I need to get him cooking on Thursdays and that will be a great start (he has Thursdays off, so hopefully I can come home to a meal!).

Jerry's a decent cook but all his dishes turn out heavy........sauces, creams etc. Although I like that kind of thing once in a while, it sits in my belly afterwards like a lead blob. Plus the mess in the kitchen!! EEKK!

Brad cooks! He has to or we'd starve. I can't cook anything unless I inform 911 first and have them here on standby.
I even tried one of those ready made dinners, all you have to do is put it in a pan and cook it....well I burned that too! Honestly I can say I was born with some things missing...the mothering gene, the cooking gene and the dealing with other peoples kids genes!
