The Welcome Center at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary would like to dedicate a wall to the “Heroes of the Kindness Revolution.†These are the people who volunteer their time to help the animals in their communities and who, together, are saving the lives of animals everywhere.

Weâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]re collecting photos and interesting stories. What we are looking for are those unique and special, small or large contributions made by individuals that go toward helping the animals.

You might be someone who has been taking in strays for years or helping animals get adopted.

Perhaps you are a teacher and had a class project to raise money for the animals in your community.

Maybe you feed homeless cats in your neighborhood, and take them to your vet for spay/neuter.

You might have organized your friends and worked with local officials to create a play area for dogs at the local park.

Maybe you are the person your local shelter calls when they need cookies for a bake sale.

Or maybe you know someone who goes out of their way to help create a kinder world for animals and you can share their story with us.

Please send your stories and photos to:

Or send an e-mail to: [email protected]

Please include your address and phone number (this information will not be published).

Please submit your entries in the Forums section of the No More Homeless Pets community on the Best Friends Network, and then others can see what you have to say and even respond right away!

Some questions to answer while writing your stories:

• What or who inspired you to dedicate time and energy to helping the animals?

• How did this act of kindness make a difference in your life and the animalsâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji] lives?

The intent of the Heroes of the Kindness Revolution forum is to inspire our visitors with ideas, resources and enthusiasm and apply them toward helping the animals in their own communities. We are confident that this collective effort will help us bring about a time when there are No More Homeless Pets.

We look forward to 'meeting' your animal-helping heroes!
