I weighed them as suggest and found there was one that only weighed 80grms compared to the others weighing 100 - 120 grms. I did try feeding it myself with the special dried kitten milk from the vets but it didn't help.

Very sad.

Sarah,
I am sorry that you lost the kitten. I know that it can be very hard. You did the very best you could. You and the babies are in my thoughts.
Sincerely,
Stormi

I live in the No. Va area near DC.
I too lost one yesterday. It hurts, but know that you did the best
you could and that nature took its course. We can't know that
the kit(s) would have been healthy in the long run... we may have
saved them only for them to suffer down the road. Hugs & good
vibes to you for all yr efforts.

Sarah...HUGS....I also lost a kitten when I fostered a mom for my rescue group. She developed pneumonia and died. The one thing that I keep close to my heart is that during her short lived life..she was loved and safe and warm. Too many kittens are born and die that do not have someone who loves them.

Sending good thoughts for the 5 kittens!!

Katie

I think there is another going to go. Mummy seems to be ignoring it somewhat and its also quite tiny. I've tried feeding that one as well but its not taking it.

Do you think mummy cats senses that there is something wrong?

Maybe try a little syringe and put a little in the mouth and see if he will swallow. Then put a rice heater in with him in case mom pushes him away. He also won't eat if hes cold. You can try warming him up by putting him under your shirt/bra (sorry but its a warm place). Then see if he will feed.

The sports bras I think will work good. then put a shirt on.. I am picturing being sort of a seragate mom right. that is a warm place. Hang in there and be strong for mommy.

Oh dear ... I am so sorry for the loss of the little one. Sometimes, these things are just not meant to be. I know you will do everything you can for the second little one, but please know that sometimes, no matter what you do, nature has other ideas. We will all be keeping you very close in the hopes the little baby makes it and sending peaceful hugs to you in your time of grief.

Hugs,

~gf~

I'm so so sorry for your baby. I too lost kittens this past week and was trying to help, but it wasn't ment to be. Just think of all the precious kittens playing in an eternal life somewhere else. That's what I'm doing.
