Hi all,

Currently I give Tola half a can of wet food in the morning and the other half of the can at night. I really want to make it so that I leave a bowl of dry food out all day, and feed wet only in the morning.

The problem is that as soon as I put the dry food out, even if she has JUST finished eating all her wet food, she eats up all the dry so there's nothing left!

Now, I don't know how to help her understand that it's okay to LEAVE the dry and not eat it!

Any advice?

some cats simply can not free feed. No matter what they WILL eat all food put down in front of them, and not leave any behind. I wouldn't worry too much about it, not having food available all day is better for her digestive system and metabolism anyways. It's much healthier to feed meals.

Beautifully put ... Unless you are gone for long stretches 10 hours or more try to feed meals ...

I know. BUT, that is the reason I am asking. Some days I am gone for long stretches as I have two jobs, so I would like to convert her so that she is not waiting 10+ hours for food.
