OMG that is so wonderful!! Maybe that first baby was a second ovulation at a later date as to why it was so underdeveloped. Yay for the new babies though!!!!!

Woo-Hoo!! I am doing a happy dance down here for you!! I loved waking up to such great news!! I know it has been a hard few days for you, but this day brings great news and I know lots of joy for you. I wish I could give some kind of rational explanation of why one baby had to leave so early, but it seems that nature sometimes doesn't give us any explanation.
I am so proud of Icey for taking care of her babies, give herself AND you a big hug for me, I do look forward to seeing her and her precious babies soon!! Get some rest now, and Congratulations GrandMeowmy!!

Awesome news...it makes you wonder if maybe the one who was born first was the last little sperm that came in...like a later mating maybe? Which would explain it being more premature than the others? Last one in, first one out?

Maybe that isn't possible, I dunno...just a theory.

Just a quick update, I was going to wait until I knew for sure she was done, but I can't help myself, I am so happy with the way things are turning out

So.. as of now there are three all doing well and nursing, they all weigh between 81.7 grams and 84.3 grams. not real big fat little kitties but after all we've been through this is fine, I hope they will all remain well and should add the weight on quickly so I am not afraid they wont make it like I was earlier, they are big enough to strive.

YAY!! Do you think she is done, or do you feel more?
We had a 74 gram kitten in one of our litters, where the other babies were well over 100 grams. She had caught up with the others within a couple of days. They will quickly start to grow!!
I am so happy that things are going well. I can't wait to see pictures!!

Wonderful news! We had a kitten last year weigh approximately 85 grams at 2 - 3 days, so I'll bet these little ones will do fine. So glad after all you've been through!

Well things have unexpectedly turned out good! She is a very tired mom and can bearly meow, she is so hoarse. The kittens look great and are all latching on. They are not like the first little one, they have their fur and not transparet like the first one (right now all I have is a picture of the first one, but didn't know if it was morbid to put it up, mabey I will just put a link if any one did want to see how tiny and transparent it was) I will be flooding the forum soon with more pictures then you will be able to look at

so any way, Blueyed Sapphire Ice of celestialrags and Beechridge Dante' of celestialrags are the proud parents of 5 babies! We are a little sad still about the little one that didn't make it but hopefully the five we have will keep us busy enough to lessen our sadness a little. She (I think) was buried yesterday after we came back from the vets
But enough of the sadness, with all these babies we won't have time for it
