Oh Sweetie, I am so glad to hear the news. I have been checking in to see if there has been an update from you. I am sure you are ready to have the babies and know that Icey and the kittens are all okay. I am glad that everything seems to look fine right now. It sounds like it is going to be a long night for you. You and Ice are in my prayers for a safe delivery of lots of chubby, healthy babies!!
Hugs to you and belly rubs to Ice.

This is good news! I am so relieved that the rest of the litter is OK! I have been wandering around today, trying to get things done, but find myself drawn back to the computer to see if there were any updates.

I'll be around (on Yahoo Messenger) later on tonight, but I just wanted to say how glad I am that for now, things appear to be alright.

I'm sorry about your loss. Hoping all turns out well for the rest.
I was wondering if the vet could tell how many kittens she is still carrying?

I do want to say that I am being more optamistic then I should be. There is a very slim chance for things ending good, i don't want to get any ones hopes up. It's pretty likely they don't make it still. But for now things seem ok.
(Just trying to prepare myself too in case it doesn't go well)

I understand how you don't want to count your chickens before they hatch I still hope that they come out okay sending vibes that babies will be born safely when she goes into labor again.

I read somewhere that every day in the cats womb, toward the end, is like a week in humans pregnancy. So, it does seem pretty important.

Put Icy on bedrest and you too soon to be grandma. Take a nice relaxing nap. See if she will stay still. Belly rubs to her from all of us here. I will check back in the morning.

That is our hopes. The longer they are in there the more they will develope. If she cotinues to be ok, mabey the kittens can develope? I just have to wait and see how things go from here now.

I was thinking this was around her due date. Did the x-ray confirm that the kittens appear to be premature?
I guess we are alike in the fact that we assume the worst, and hope for the best.
Did your vet have any thoughts of the chance of viability, if she holds labor off for a certain amount of days? I am probably asking too many questions, that you may not have answers for.
Please continue giving updates when you get a chance. ((HUGS))

From the time I thought this should be right around her due date, in fact in some earlier post I had even said I was expecting them 4/4-4/6. But mabey I was wrong. Given the size of the first kitten and that she has stopped labor I think they are premeture, But to be honest they didn't seem to be premeture in the x-ray but I don't know really what I am looking for in them, he didn't say one way or the other though. Unfortunately , being so worried about my babies being up all night and just every thing I didn't ask enough questions. I feel like i'm in a haze. I wish I had some one at the vets with me to listen for what I missed or to help ask questions i'm forgetting. I wish I knew more, but tomorow i'm going back to the vets and since I have been home I have kept a list of questions and concerns so I am more prepared then I was. waiting is always so hard. I think tomorrow I will opt for inducing, I feel like I am playing with Iceys' health and as much as I already love the kittens, Ice is my main concern right now.

That is a good plan. I totally understand what you are talking about because just recently I took one of our cats in because he was sick...ended up being very serious, way more serious than I expected and he needed immediate hospitalization (he ended up not making it- very sad).

I was so stunned by the 'information overload', that I left with more questions than answers. I was more prepared the next day when I went back in and had a list of questions and took notes of the answers so I would remember them later, when I got home.

It's funny how the stress of it all just makes you kind of scattered, ya know?

I really can't add much except my prayers...

Does your vet have an ultrasound? That way you could check for movement, and if the rest seem all right, that could be good news for you. Is this a feline specialist?

Oh gosh I have so many questions, I'm sure you do too. Hugs, Kim.

Great news every one! Ice had gone back into labor about 45 mins ago, she has two seemingly healthy babies! They aren't real big but they are active and very vocal she still has more I think but for now I have two live babies!
Thanks to every body that was supportive and helped me through the first born being dead and premeture ( or under developed since these ones don't seem to be premies) I am not sure why she had one dead over 24 hrs ago, but i'm happy for the ones that are alive. I will update later with a full head count!
