It does seem to a little when I stimulate he starts moving more, but I think i'm prolonging the inevitable. Right now he's back with mom hoping she will keep him warm she was upset with me for taking him but he can't nurse on his own

I went back to try massaging him, but there was so little life left it was pointless. I tried for 10 mins or so any way, but finally he took his last breath and crossed the rainbow bridge.

3:45 I stopped trying he was already gone. RIP kitty

So far the three are doing really well and i am supplementing the forth and keeping a close eye on him. Mabey we can pull them all through.

Oh, I'm so sorry you have to go through this. You have lots of people praying and now we'll pray for this new little one.
Hugs, Kim.

If you have some that look like they are fading try rubbing some corn syrup on their gums. I've heard this from a friend who rescues ferals that she can often save a fading kitten this way.

My internet was up and down all day yesterday, and I couldn't get a post in. I had such mixed emotions reading your posts. I am so sorry, that you lost another baby. I know from experience that we grow to love them before they are even born, and losing them can be so sad. I try and think positive, and know that it was for the best, and focus on the 4 darlings that are still with us. I am so glad that she didn't have to go through any major problems delivering, or have to get vet assistants to deliver.
Icey, the kittens, and you, are in my prayers. I hope these 4 babies continue growing and changing. I look so forward to seeing the patterns and colors produced, to find out what genotype of bicolor Dante' is! If you have all mitteds in this litter, then he is the same as my Berlioz, (high mitted).
Kiara's 4 babies began opening their eyes on the 10th day. I can't believe they are 12 days old today.
I look forward to watching them grow and change. Tell Icey she did a wonderful job, and give yourself a big hug for all the stress you have been under.

I have tried that. I have never heard of it before though. Is it the sugar or some thing that makes it help them? All four are doing well still. I didn't loose the little one that looked weak yesterday. Mabey I was just so worried after loosing one that I thought he looked weaker, he seems ok today. so mabey I was panicking. But they are all well, momma too. I think this delivery has been the hardest on me.

s,
I am dying to know what Dante' is too, and what these babies will look like. He is supposed to be a true bi but we will see when the kittens patterns develope. I am really dissapointed she lost the little one the other night and just devastated about the one yesterday. I have a close eye on them, and getting up during the night to check on them.

There blood suger from what I understand can drop very quickly. The corn syrup or the like can raise the blood sugar and therefore possibly give them more energy, maybe enough to promote heat in the body.

I suspected it was some thing like that. I put a little on the one who seemed sluggish yesterday and just for precation I did the others as well. They all seem ok today, I really wonder if i was imagining the other one being weaker being so paranoid over this whole delivery, but im not taking any chances! These little babies are so special to me, as any kitten is to the owner, but being a breeder this litter had been planned long before my queen acually mated, if fact last august was when i got the male through careful selection and preperation. i don't mean to say mine is more important then a moggie getting out and having an acidental breeding, they are just as special and loved by their owners. But to plan for a litter so long and have them all die would completely devastate me. I am am devoted to the ragdoll breed and hope to continue to produce exceptional kittens have great quality with champion lines so I don't think I will ever stop breeding if I were to loose them all but, I will take this more seriously then I had. I had two litters before this with absolutely no problems with this queen and expected the same out of this litter, I never expected any thing would go wrong because she is such a good mother and did so well previously that I didn't prepare for some thing to go wrong (well I did, I have vets notified and emergancy vets lined up,) but it took me by surprise and I will always remember this birth and not expect things to go smoothly again. I'm not saying I will be a total lunatic when I have a litter due, I will just be ready to deal with some thing if it does come up. I feel this may have been a lesson to me, to not be comfortable with Icey's labor, just because she has had uneventful deliveries doesn't mean it will always be that way, in a way this has taught me an important lesson, one I will hold near to my heart as a breeder. I feel every thing happens for a reason, and it was meant for me to go through all this, and I hope it makes me a better breeder. As many have recently found out having a litter of kittens is not for every body and to be a secessful, ethical breeder you have to be strong, not just for your own sanity, but for the queen and kittens as well, breeding is not for every body and I hope I will be a good enough person for my cats and the ragdoll breed in general. I feel I am a strong person, but, without finding this wonderful site, and even more, the wonderful people on this site who have helped me through this and have been kind and supportive (even those who don't feel people should be breeding, haven't looked down at me because I do, have had nothing but kind words and support) has really got me through this, I don't know what I would have done with out the support and advice I have recieved on this site. I only hope to be as helpful and supportive of others going though an ordeal like this. Thank-you every one!!!
I will keep you updated on their progress and will have pictures for every one soon.
A word to every one: I have found a vet that has agreed to take me on as a client and willing to do early altering, so you know all of my pet kittens will be altered before being placed in their new homes, I have always done shots, and had a contract stating they be altered but I am going to be the one to do it and I won't have to worry if the new owners will. unless they go into a cattery for their breeding program, and being new to breeding I don't usually have them go as breeders, just the one I traded for my male so far. I also make sure the new owners know at any time I will take any kitten for any reason back and rehome them.

Yes same here. Today is Meeka's due date and I'm having a hard time with it (been battling minor depression all week). I've planned a zillion activities today so I will be completely busy and tomorrow too. I'm the type of person...lets say...that things ALWAYS go right and work out. My mom is often flabergasted at the way things happen for me (they don't for her). An example - I put my resume online the next day I get a call from a pharma company that wants to hire me. This happens with everything in my life. Nothing goes wrong, its a mindset partially. To have this happen to me....was devastating, nothing goes wrong and I've had to come to terms with things. I assumed this would be a perfect pregnancy. I think it was a lesson to me as well. Don't take things for granted, appreciate what God gave you.

Its a hard way to learn a lesson though... I've always had a hard time with the loss of life...

It also brought the opportunity for my fiance to have a say. If I'm not careful I can run him over with my drive. I'll be doing one more litter to give my breeder a cat to continue this line but it will be the end for me (maybe keep one?).

However, I'm still devoted and in love with the breed. I think I've going to start the "Solarity Bengal Project." I've got a few ideas...but I'd like to do some heavy research on the breed and write some articles, provide a compendium of information online. I'd also like to do a study into bengal vocalizations and provide some online soundbytes. Its a different task than what I've seen. Bengals have the most unusual/strange vocals I have ever heard (my fiance always asks why Meeka dosen't meow, its just different).

So all in all, one door is closed but I've found a new door thats opened.

That is wonderful you have found an outlet for your devotion and dedication for this lovely breed. I'm sure you will do great things for the bengal breed.

Here are a few pics of the kittens, it looks like 2 boys and 2 girls, but it was a quick peek so I could be wrong.

Awww, I am in love!! They are so adorable!! I suppose at this age, both of us could post pictures of our foursome litter, and not be able to tell them apart...LOL Is that color starting to show up in the last picture?
I am so excited to see color and patterns on your babies!!
That is exciting to produce colorpoints and True bicolors with Dante'!! Dante' is a proud Daddy now!!

I am SO excited that you found a vet that does early alter!! That is just such wonderful news!! I have found that the incision is so much smaller, they heal quicker, and when they go to their new homes, there is less worry if the families were to become extra busy, and push the altering back, when it is done by the adoptive families. I also ask that if the owners can't keep our cat, that the kitten/cat comes back to us for us to keep or rehome.
I am certainly no one to judge any other breeders, but it sounds like you are doing a wonderful job as a reputable breeder. Keep up the great work!!
I can't wait to see new pictures!! Give Icey and Dante' belly rubs, for doing such a great job!
