I can remember back when I was paying $35 bucks for my phone. This has ramped up to over $60 bucks a month. I switched to Vonage and now I'm paying $17. Woo Oooo Hooo Hoo Hoo Hooooo!

We just do cell phones. No home line right now. We have 3 phones on our plan so its about $30 per person. I haven't changed it in a long time. I bet there is something better. My dad has Vonage and really like it.

No... In order to use DSL you have to have a telephone bill.

We are waiting patiently as the new phiber optic system is put in here, then we'll lump our TV, broadband and phone into one bill that will come to less than half of what we currently pay for the three services.

And we don't even have long distance currently.

We both have cell phones and no home phone. We pay for his moms cell and she pay our water bill in exchange (long story) but for their 2 phones its about 100 a moth and then 35 for mine. Too much IMO.

I WISH ours was only $60!! For one land line, DSL line (not the ISP, just the line) and long distance...we're now paying $120 a month. And we have no other choices....yet...

I don't have a home line, just a cell phone, and its about $60 a month, which is cheap, I have great service plan. I have Midwest Wireless, and I love it!

I just have a cell/mobile that's on my dad's business plan, so it's all the bells and whistles for less than $60 a month, per phone. I have Cable internet (which is still kinda pricey, but I just WEP'd it so that I won't be providing free wifi to the rest of my building anymore) and no interest in a land line.

Mack, where did you get your's from(which MW?)? We got ours in Mankato, & dad has a heck of a time getting service. We got the plan to cover IA, MN, & WI. He is in IA working right now & doesn't have any service! He called them, but they didn't know why.

We have a business in our basement, so our home phone is also the business phone. It costs big $$$. Plus, mom, dad, & I have cell phones, so that is $80 a month. They were kind enough to pay for my phone!
We don't have much choice in phone/internet service. Frontier is about the only one we can get here in the boonies. There are a couple of others, I think.

We go to Mankato to get our stuff done!

But lately when I need to change my plan, I just call MW directly and they change it there, instead of going to a place like Fairmont or Kato.

IA. If you need me, just meow..
We pay $98.00 for our landline ( with dsl included) it's ridiculas. I wish we could give them both up and just go with cell phones but then I'd have to give work my cell number and I really don't want to do that. I enjoy them not being able to find me when I'm not here. So we suffer, until something better comes along.
Our cells run $70.00 total. we have a share plan. $35.00 each not to bad consdiering we WERE spending over $100 total separately.

Ours is a little over $60.00 and it is a *basic* phone line! No caller id, no call waiting and NO long distance! We use our cell phone for l/d most the time, or ppl call us
I have thought before about using Vonage, but how does it actually work? Can someone explain, please?

I'm spending around $70-80 per month for home phone with DSL. No cell phone, and I don't want one.
