My brother is very ill

Hello guys! I am going to ask for your thoughts and prayers again. My brother is extremely sick! It started out as a upper resp. infection and now its turned into, well were not for sure! All weekend long he has been puking and been VEERY dizzy and cant even stand up! My husband took him to the dr yesterday(because he cant drive himself) and they put him on some type of medicine, and the side effects of it are NAUSEA and dizziness!! So my brothers wife called the dr last night at home and asked why he put him on something, that will just make him feel worse, and the dr had no answer!! So today my mom is going to try and get the dr/hospital to do blood work and see whats going on! But please do your *magic* and pray for him! Thanks so much guys!!

Prayers are sent for your brother. Is the medication antibiotics? Is it a normal reaction? I know a certian type Ethromiacin (something like that) upsets my stomach. Is the doctor going to do anything about it? Maybe he should go to the ER.

You brother is in my prayers.

I hope the doctors figure out what he has, give him the right medicine so he can get better!!!

I cant think of what it was called that the doc put him on, but he did end up going to ER, with my moms help, and they gave him some iv/fluids cause he was so dehyrdated! And the med they gave him(for nausea) was making him angry and he didnt like being at the hospital and he tried pulling his iv and gown off! So my mom just told them to let him go home and she went and stayed with him until his wife gets there....hes fianally asleep! Hes been very restless too.....they said its probably a bad case of Vertigo and it can last up to 6 weeks!! Pretty scary I think...

Little update for you. He is being sent to another Dr/hospital. He is getting worse than what he was! And he wanted another opnion, as well as we ALL did! I am getting worried about him guys.....I hope he gets better, but each day he seems worse than the day before! Please continue to keep him in your prayers. TIA!

Me and my familys thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope he gets better.

Just because the medication lists nausea and dizziness as a possible side effect, doesn't mean he will necessarily get it. Just some people get side effects. However, he should start feeling better after being on the medication!

I have had several friends this year with severe pneumonia and other illnesses...where it took them a long time to recover. I'm glad he is seeing a doctor. Hope he feels better real soon!

Hi all! I am going to update you on all thats been happening lately(unfortunate events w/family) My brother went to a different doctor today and they said he was viral....umm, gosh now I forgot what its called! Something thats RARE and not good! They are putting him on Valium to help with the dizziness, and nausea. They dont want him sleeping a whole lot, I guess Valium will do that to ya.....anyways, I am just very worried about him! I cant stand it that hes this sick....and the doctor also told him he cant work or drive for a week or 2, thats how long he says it will lasts!! I just cant imagine! He feels so horrible! ugh.... Ok, now an update on my hubbys grandpa. Hes still in the hospital, unresponsive! His temp was 103 today and only came down a degree I guess. Other than that, hes about the same. I am aksing that you all CONTINUE to keep all of us in your prayers~~as we need them!! Thanks so much guys! Your all great!!
