I know I'm totally overreacting to this to and it's really not a big deal, but I need to get it out! I have an agreement with the nun who lives downstairs from me that I'll cut the grass and do the trimming in our yard and she'll do the gardening. Between the weather, lack of time and the fact that it's still very early in the season, I haven't had a chance to cut the grass yet, so it's getting pretty long. Anyway, she called me at 10:00 last night (even though I've asked her not to call that late unless it's an emergency) to tell me that we received a lawn treatment today so the grass was ready for me to cut!
I knew that!!! I told her I'd get to it when I have time (actually I should be able to do it tonight). Again, I know I'm overreacting, but this REALLY annoyed me. Just needed to get that out - thanks for listening!

Oh that IS annoying - its like, when you were a kid, and you're just about to go and tidy up your room, and your Mum says, `Go and tidy up your room'. That used to make me just
Takes all the wind out of your sails!!

Did you ask her what part of her phone call was an emergency??

As aggravating as it may have been, and I know I'd like to tell her what I was really thinking, how do you tell off a nun?

Well I guess one nun could tell the other off....

I am sorry she is getting on your nerves. Just tell her when you think there should be more gardening done. Like where are all the flowers she is supposed to be taking care of! LOL

Oooh that is so annoying! That's one of my biggest irritations- when someone asks me to do something I was just about to do.
As for calling at 10 o'clock at night, really that's just rude.

How annoying! I really don't like phone calls after 9 at the latest. She must be a very busy person if she couldn't get around to calling you until then.

With the storms and rain that passed through the other night, you should have told her that you would be out there as soon as you found pontoons for the mower.

Difficult to get angry at a nun and let her know! You have to vent elsewhere! I would be uspest too - how dare she call you so late!

Thanks for making me feel better and making me smile.
Maybe I should just give her a call at 7:00 a.m. some morning and tell her the garden needs some work!

You can mow your lawn already????
Just let her know that turfgrass is best left at a height of three inches as it will shade the weeds and improve the overall health of the turf. Take out your ruler and measure (haha!!) before cutting!!

Just wanted to thank you guys for letting me vent yesterday. I hate reacting that way about something that's really not a big deal.
My neighbor does tend to rub me the wrong way sometimes, but I'm sure the same's true for me. To her credit, she's very tolerant of my four furry roommates and takes good care of them whenever I'm out of town.
Thanks again!
