Something odd just happened

Hi all, I'm not really all that experienced with cats (I've had Bentley about a month or so) so forgive me if this is like a fairly common thing or something.

Just now Bentley started making a noise, kind of halfway between coughing and wheezing, and he threw up a bit, but when I cleaned it up it didn't really feel like spit up, it felt kinda like muchus. Also when he started meowing after it was so raspy I could barely hear him. My mother said it's probably a hairball but I want to check here just to make 100% certain it's not something else. I have a special sticky roller thing that gets all his loose hair, and I give him 10 of the whiskas hairball prevention treats every other day, so he shouldn't be having hairballs should he? Is it just a hairball or something else?

He may have an upper respiratory infection which means he would need a prescription from the vet. My suggestion is to be on the safe side and have him checked by a vet.

He had an upper respritory infection when we first got him, and he was sneezing a lot and his eyes were watery and so on. So far all he's done is do that wheezing/coughing thing and cough up a bit of mucus, other than that he's been acting completely normal. I'm starting to think this might just be a hairball.

Try providing him with some cat grass !!
