I just want to send out a general THANK YOU to everyone. I have received so much comforting messages over our loss. I wanted everyone to know how appreciated it is. Its going to be a while to recover, sometimes I have good moments and other times not so good. But I know things will improve.

Also, I just wanted to say that Meeka is doing wonderful. Just in case it was a minor infection I am putting her on antibiotics as a precaution. She dosne't really know what happened which I think is for the better as her mourning won't be as strong.

Anyway, I really appreciated all the support everyone has given me.

PS: How long do queens usually drip blood after delivery? I know this is normal and it is only droplets but I'm still curious how long this is expected to last for.

I'm really sorry to hear about the poor little kittens. My heart goes out to you and your kitty family. Thank goodness that Meeka was alright. Who knows why this happened but try to keep positive. I'll be thinking of you. Take care.

My heart really goes out to you at this difficult time! I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sure you would have posted if there was good news about the last kitten...I'm sorry for that loss as well. Poor precious babies...now they are safe and warm over the Rainbow Bridge.

I'm glad Meeka is doing so well. Give your lovely girl a chin scritch from me. I'm glad she doesn't seem to understand what happened. If only people could be so carefree!

You are right to expect to need time to recover. Take all the time you need. You and Meeka have been in my prayers!

I just wanted to comment on the questions raised, I know tons of us were praying for 'little fighter girl' and Natalie may not be up to going over that again, understandably.

Unfortunately, after very loving and valiant efforts on Natalies part, getting up to feed every hour, the beautiful little angel passed sometime before the 8 am feeding.

One never knows how to make sense of loss like this..why did the little girl make it for a while and then pass?

I would like to think that when she crossed the Rainbow Bridge to meet her siblings, that perhaps they could smell the scent of Natalies gentle hands on their sister. Maybe when they asked "What is that smell?" She would reply, "That is kindness, comfort and strength, unfailing and unconditional. That is LOVE and you will now recognize her someday when she meets us here."

At least, that is how I would like to see it.

God bless the little angels. And the ones right here, like Natalie.

One never knows why things happen. Good vibes for you and for Meeka that you get all this behind you as soon as possible.

Ah you are so sweet! Unfortunately yes we did lose the little girl after a long night of feedings and after me getting my hopes up, she really seemed to be doing better. But I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Meeka showed every sign of being a good mom.

Thanks to everyone again.

Unfortunely, I think I will share my other bad news. I think after Meeka's next litter we will get her spayed. I absolutely cannot end on such a bad note so I need to do this one more time. However, this whole thing has been very hard. But that is not entirely the reason. I don't want to get into it to much but breeding is a lifestyle, a lifestyle that dosen't completely agree with the man I'm about to marry. He's a great guy and loves cats but is not quite the same with the passion for breeds/breeding. He even brought me roses upon the passing of the litter. But for our best interest we will go back to being pet owners instead of breeders after the next litter. Maybe when I retire and can devote more time to the cats I can continue.

Maybe once and a while I can foster a pregnant cat.

Natalie, my heart hurts for you and little Meeka. Take your time and think things through. All we want for you is to be a happy cat owner, with happy, healthy cats, breeding or not.

My Yuki passed during the night some time. I hope that my Yuki is up there playing with all your little ones and that would make me happy.
