My g/f and I just moved into our new house with our dog and cat. The cat freaked out for the first 2 days when we moved in but everyone told us he would so we wernt to worried about it and just tryed to comfort him..
He was useing his litter box all the time and also the yard outside but today he peed on a book and the ground and did number 2's twice in almost the same spot! My g/f did a massive clean of the house today and sprayed the carpet with those nice smelling powder things, so im thinking he didnt like or somthing..
So does anyone know why he is doing it and whats the best way to go about makeing him stop?

Any change in behavior such as this should be seen by a vet. Also, you need to get an enzyme cleaner to deep clean the smell out of the carpet, or your cat will continue to use the carpet as its litterbox. You may also need an additonal box or two, especially if you moved to a larger house.

Have you changed the litter or food? That may be a trigger to this behavior.

I agree with a vet trip.
Moving can be very stressful to kitties and can result in a number of problems and/or illness.
