I was playing with the cat wand and Gizmo jumped too high. He landed wrong, and he started to limp. It seems to have gotten better, but is there anything else I can do for him? He's jumping around, again on the counters.

There's not a whole lot you can do for cats with pain. The only medications available are through a veterinarian. If he continues to limp, I would take him in for xrays. Young cats bones are fairly brittle and they can break when they land wrong. If this is the case, you want to get it looked at asap for the best possible options.

A few months I was holding Lucy and she jumped out of my arms onto the floor. She landed on her back leg wrong and started to meow very loudly. Lucy limped around for a few days, but soon was back to normal. Now, I am verrry careful to set her down gently. Gizmo might have strained a muscle. I'm glad that he is feeling better.
