Hi everyone!

I'm new here and this seems like a great place to be! My name is Lindsay, I'm from Florida and I have two beautiful cats. Both are females, both adopted from local pet shelters.

My oldest girl is Landon. She's four years old. Landon actually suffered from some abuse during her first years of life -- in fact, she was brought to a rescue after being tied to a tree and beaten by some disgusting person. Thankfully, an onlooker caught this and gave her the care she needed before bringing her to the shelter. Landon does have some post-traumatic issues but she's in good hands between myself, my boyfriend and our wonderful vet who has been so good to us and to Landon. She's the first "special needs" cat I've ever owned and while it has been an adjustment, I couldn't ask for a more special kitty in my life. She has made my life complete.

My younger girl is Hadley. She recently turned two years old. She was found behind a garbage dump as a kitten and taken in by an elderly woman who since passed away. Hadley is the sweetest, most loving cat you'll ever come across. She's a big girl, at 10 pounds, and a lot of fluff. She loves to fall asleep on your chest and wake you up with a million kisses. She truly is a cuddlebug and a wonderful playmate for her sister, Landon.

In addition to these girls, my boyfriend and I have become caretaker to two beautiful feral cats. They love to sleep on our patio and eat the food we put out, but getting them to trust us has been difficult. Our one feral cat, Rufus, has been missing for a little over a month now and it kills me to even think about this.
Fonzie, our other feral, has recently begun letting me pet him -- and he purrs so loudly, it's precious. He's a sweetheart and we're working on earning his trust so we can take him to the vet to be neutered and given all of the proper medical care.

With that, here are some pictures:

This is Landon.

What beautiful cats! I am sorry about Landon's abuse
but she has found a great home with you. I was worried about a feral that hangs out here. He disappears for great lengths of time and then will show up again after many months. So strange to see them everyday and then boom - they are gone. Just hope that Rufus has found another kind soul that might be feeding him

I'm so sorry to hear about the abuse that poor Landon suffered, I will never understand how people can do that. It's wonderful that these kitties have found a happy and loving home with you and your boyfriend

The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
Hi there

Your cats sound so special, and despite their rough starts in life they must be very happy now, since finding you!
It takes a special person to give an abused cat the love, patience and attention they need.
Can't wait to see more pics of the gang and I hope your missing feral comes home soon!

How sad about your little cats. So glad you could give them the home that they deserve.
I Would be banned from this board if I wrote saying what I would do to people who ill treat animals.
Wishing you all the best.
