HI Group:
I found a new kitty litter, or rather it is new to me. Called scientific performance cat litter. It is meant to help you see if your cat has a urinary track problem. It turns pink if it does. Has any one on here used this product, and if so, can you tell me about it. I want to get it, but I don't want to pay a silly price for something that doesn't do what it says it will. It cost about 16.00 a 3 lbs bag.

I saw an add for that in Cats & Kittens magazine, to me the price is not worth it. I'd rather keep an eye on my cats and take them to the vet if I notice anything wrong.

The only problem with that is I am not at home most of the time. So I can't know if they are having any problems until it is too late.

They might be able to tell you themselves. I am not sure I would pay either unless Skittles had already had one like my Bassethound did.

I have looked at a list that says what to look out for. But I am not certain they have any of them. The only ones that come close are, they did like to sleep on cold tile rather then a cozy bed I had for them. And the other is they don't drink half the amount of water they should. Which will cause Urinary track problems. I have bought them a drinkwell fountain. I hope they take to it. They should like it. Any ways those are the only to things that could be a sign. But we have moved, and they have stopped sleeping on the tiles. They like to sleep on my chair now, or their kitty condo. The water thing I hope will be solved real soon.

yup, peeing on the bed or somewhere weird is certainly a lot cheaper, & probably works just as well!
