I was just wondering what everyone's opinion is on this stuff, and what you plan to or have done. Age gracefully? Fight it all the way? Take every measure possible to defy growing old?

I do color my hair. My grandmother was white headed at 40. I have her fair skin and blue eyes. I refuse to be white headed at 40!!!!!! I also use Timeless from Marykay and I love it. So I guess I will age the only way I know how, which is to do it kicking and screaming the whole way!!

Well, I chose ageing gracefully. I've been going grey since I was 21, so I have chosen to keep my original colour with the aid of the odd magical box of potion. I try to make the best of what I have by eating well, having a sunny outlook on life and keeping myself in reasonable shape. I wear a little, but not a lot of make up, usually being content with the mainly natural look with a little addition here and there.

I would not go to the extent of surgery, expensive potions or other such measures though.

I don't have the time, energy or inclination to fight it! I like my small amounts of silver in my hair! Honestly, I don't mind and I think it is very natural!

I voted age gracefully, but I do highlight my hair to hide some of the gray that has been appearing for the past 5 years.

According to my husband... the zoo
I chose (and choose to) age gracefully.

I don't quite get plastic surgery. I think of people like Joan Rivers who look HORRIBLE!

I don't think there is anything wrong with creams, lotions etc. but if it involves knives or needles - I'm not going for it. You might be able to do things with your face, but your neck and hands will still look 'old'.

I do color my hair and use some aging products (creams etc) for my face, but that's about it.

I'm only 21, so I don't have to worry about that quite yet

There are a lot of beauty products out there that say they to help stop the aging process - I wonder how well they really work? Like all the anti aging creams and what not?

My hair turned white in my early 20s and if I didn't color it I would be about all white haired now. No way I do color my hair. the wrinkles I will learn to live with. I would actually like to have some type of wrinkle help. As I sunned all the time and smoke so I am wrinkled in the face more then I would of been if Ihadn't of tanned and smoked. But I doubt I will every get the courage to do anything about it. Maybe a chemical face peel.

That's actually what triggered the thread. My bosses wife is doing a beauty products party thing, and she was telling me that it's a great anti-aging line.

My thought is that aging is a part of life, and it's going to happen no matter how much money you spend to try to stop it. And if you do go overboard to try to stop it, like some celebrities (Joan Rivers), you'll end up looking like a freak. So I'm not going to spend my money on all the syrums and such, and I'll just try to age as gracefully as I can.

When I first started to gq grey one of my sons looked down (he's 6ft 4) and said Mother you look like a skunk.
Now I just go with it.

I heard a saying once...
"Don't fight growing old. Be thankful you can. There are some who will never make it that long."
Kinda sad, but true. However, I plan to fight it as much as I can!
But I won't do freakish acts of surgery!

I colour my hair and I try to keep my skin soft with loads of good moisturizer, as it gets dry these days very quickly, especially on the face and hands. But I have always hated make-up so the rest of me is as you find me!

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
I'll fight it every step of the way.

I like to think i look after my skin by eating the right foods, staying stress free wherever possible, sleeping well, drinking fluids, washing my face with a soap free facial wash, exfoliating and moisturising day and night.

My hairdresser said for a woman of my age (47) i havent really got that many grey hairs, but i still put my colour on.

So to all our younger members, try and look after your skin as much as you can NOW, because it's later on in life where it can show

Laugh as much as possible, because those lines are better than frown lines

Think young and you'll stay young, think old, well no thanks.

Listen to Auntie Susan and you'll be ok!

To be honest, I don't do a thing, so I will probably age gracefully. I wash my face with soap, big no, no, I know. I don't put any lotions on my face, or anyth9ing like that. I wear make up, but not a lot. I don't have any wrinkles at all, and I smoke.

I wash with Clean and Clear for sensitive skin because other stuff dries out my face, and use whatever moisturizer is the latest thing. Right now, at night, when I remember to, I put on Oil of Olay anti-aging cream, and in the morning I don't wash my face either...but when I do during the day or when I wear makeup, I use Aveeno skin brightening lotion. Oh, and I rarely wear makeup. It's not necessary in the job I'm in, and it usually makes my face break out if I wear it too much, so I'd say maybe once or twice a week do I wear it. I remove my mascara with the Clean and Clear soap...
I don't tan my face, either. I wish I had some pointers, but there's nothing to follow with my slap dash skin care!
