Name change ?

Cheyenne mentioned that if we got George that we should change his name. What do yall think. I think he might be to old for a name change or gotten so used to George that if we called him something else he might get confused. Im not thrilled with the name George (its not bad it's just not a name I would give) but do yall think it would confuse him or would he be ok with a new name?

Clover has had the same name for 12 years and I think he could care less about it. Most cats are indifferent to their names, only responding to yoru inquiry if they wish too and usually its the tone of your voice you say their name in. I'd say change the name to something that works for you.

I think my 4 do know their names.......plus I love the name Georgie.....but all in all, if your not happy with it, I don't think it much matters to George if you call him something else. Do you have anything in mind?

yes i do but i am going to wait till cheye gets home to add the poll tht way she can add in her names too

i changed Chip's name, & basically, Cable's & Java's, too, since they were foundlings. Chip doesn't seem to know his yet, but the others do. i say change it if you want, altho i like Gorgeous George, like the wrestler!

I would wait until you get him and see if he fits the name George, or some other name. Our cats know their nicknames more then their actual names, but other then looking at us when we call them, they pretty much ignore the name usage.
