RIP sweet Benny. You did goood.

It really is great to see a good story about a pit. There are so many good dogs like Benny out there who are suffering because of some bad training for other dogs.

I'll move this to Other Animals.

The story is no longer there. I can only assume that the dog died protecting his owner or family based on the posts made. I'm sure it was sad, but, it also shows that pits can and are good dogs in the right hands, (i'm guessing, since I couldn't read the artical)

Basically the man was walking his two pits, and a guy mugged him at gunpoint.
Benny went after at mugger's gun arm and locked on, the guy switched the gun to the other hand and shot Benny, point blank between his shoulders.

But he did his job, his owner was able to get away and call police.

Thank-you for informing me on it, how sad the dog was killed. I hope the dog did severe nerve damage to the mugger arm and marks him for life as the people mugging dog shooting looser that he is.
