The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
and no before you say it it isn't for my wedding

Marks graduation ball in in June and I just have a picture of a beautiful dress in my head but no idea where to find one

I want something knock out. I need to be comfortable too because it's 6pm - 6am so I can't squeeze into a killer corset or anything

I want something unusual, I'm not too bothered about the cost because it's a once in a lifetime thing and I will be able to wear it again (plus my Mum will help me out).
I was thinking of ordering something from the internet because that increases my chances of getting something nobody else has...
Any ideas???

One thing you might want to do is to contact Fashion Students! They will be able to produce and original for you and it will cost a fraction of other designers!

If I lived closer to you, I'd work with you ideas and make your dress for you!!

Oh brilliant - you must be very proud too - it's the season for good news isn't it! Let's hope it spreads to others as well.

Now, you know there is a beautiful dress (to me anyway
) that I and daughter have had our eyes on for a while. It's gorgeous and now I'm waiting for the right excuse to need it
Here it is.

Yeah I couldn't see it either? Unless it was the blue one Betty Jackson one?

Sar that is a brilliant idea but I don't know anyone

My friend from Inverness was a fashion student but it would be impossible to get her to do it being so far away. That would be so cool though, I could have whatever I wanted.
I keep seeing dresses in magazines on celebs and Im like oooh thats the one but if I find it it's always mega bux.

I would ask my mates for you, but they do a lot of catwalk style clothing, so it's not too suitable!

If you find something similar to one of the famous ones, but it needs some alteration, I could probably do that for you! Then the size would already be sorted!

Any pictures of the styles you're thinking of?

Drat! you're right - I've crashed the Debenhams site
. I can tell you the dress was a wine organza dress with a fitted top, stringy straps (if that makes sense) and a looser fitting skirt to it, so it fell away from the top at about waist level to a flowing skirt.

I'm no fashion writer as you can tell and probably haven't painted a very good picture of this.

Sarah's idea is a great one! Especially if you have an unusual size like me, trying to get something to fit a 5ft gnome is not very easy

Oh it sounds lovely, I'll check it later on. I don't have an unusual size just an ordinary 10 but if ones being made I think measurements would be needed for the perfect fit.
5ft though! you are teeny tiny!

Susan yours is lovely! I'd love it if there was a shop like that near me. I wouldn't be able to pull of anything so fancy though. I was thinking something 3 quarter length, simple probably black and kind of flowy? does that makes sense? I don't mind if its not black though. I want something thats fitted at the waste, maybe a halter neck or something with no straps.
