Well, I thought I would let you guys in on my good news. It's great to have a place to share our joys as well as our woes when we feel like shouting it all from the rooftops

Yesterday, when I went to work, waiting in my post was notification that I had been awarded my Masters Degree
.

This has been such a tough year what with one thing and another plus studying the Masters course and working full time as well - it was just so good to get the news. Hubby and I were out celebrating last night.

So, if you were wondering why I was not as active as I had previously been, I was doing my dissertation - then trying to catch up with normal life again having finished it

Thanks folks for all the support and encouragement I've had along the way from those of you who listened to all my moaning about the dissertation

That's fantastic news, Beth!
Congratulations!

You must be feeling so proud right now! I know we're all very proud of you!

So how did you celebrate? Will you be going to your graduation ceremony?

Yep Lauren, I'll be relaxing just as soon as I've finished marking the 90 essays that are staring at me from my study desk right now
and getting the house ready for sale which we're planning at the moment.

My degree is a Master of Laws (LLM) in Business Law - my dissertation was looking at the protection of personal privacy.

Thanks so much Sarah. We went out to our favourite bar in town and then up to the Nepalese Restaurant for a meal. Two of our favourite places to be.

The graduation ceremony is in July and yes
I'll be there.

Thank you guys.

It sounds like you had a wonderful celebration!

I hope you'll post your graduation pictures too, I know I'd love to see them!

You don't like to make things easy for yourself, do you Beth?! Getting ready to sell your house!

Are you still planning on moving to around Chester somewhere?

Julianne and Danielle - thank you

Oh yes, I'll post graduation photos when the time arises
. Yes, we're just thinking now that a move would be good. We've been in this house 22 years and are ready for a change.

We're keeping our options open as to location, but the Chester/North Wales area would be lovely - so much countryside, near the sea, able to go walking - wow! it sounds so lovely. Of course we have to get the house ready for sale first to dip our toe in the water and see what the response would be, so nothing is set in stone, it's all a case of wait and see.

We took daughter up with us to North Wales the other weekend in all the snow and drove right out to Conwy and through the countryside to the south of that and she loved it. So we have her seal of approval if we decide that is the way to go.

Oh yes, Chester and North Wales are definitely good spots!
I'm pleased you got the seal of approval from your daughter too!! It'll be a lovely place for her when she's home for holidays from uni!

I'm sure your house will be snapped up, Beth! Especially with your wonderful garden!!

Good luck with the preparations though!

Thanks Susan and Brandi

Sarah - hubby is preparing the house like he's part of a military campaign
still, he's doing a grand job. Especially considering there is nothing definite in this. We may end up staying you never know!

Awww thanks Fwan. Do you know, I haven't been on MSN in so long. What with a couple of bouts of surgery, the Masters course, working and daughter going to University it's been such a hectic time.

How are things with you? I hope they are getting better after you were not feeling so well last week.

Isn't he good to you?!
At least if you don't end up moving, the house will be beautifully sorted!

That is excellent news!!! Congratulations.

WE moved a little over a year ago, so I understand the daunting task of getting the house ready to sell. Good Luck!
