Yes but I get this mixed up...there are 2 of them...The Waffle House...and another. One I like and one I don't like. The one that is a small cafe sort, really cheap and plastic menus I don't really care for. The other is more restaurantish and has fabulous crepes!

I think waffle house is the one you don't like. Cheap greasy food and plastic menues. There is also Waffle King around here and the huddle house.

Ok for some reason I thought it had another name. Yah not fond of it! My fiance really likes it though (grits ugh). I might be thinking of The International House Of Pancakes but not sure..

IHOP! I didn't think I had the name right because the name was so long but I forgot the abbreviation. Maybe thats the one I don't like. They are both on Hillsboro street so I can never figure out which is which. One makes my stomach upset too... The other has crepes! (can you tell I like crepes? I never had them before until I had it here)

What is Waffle House? I've seen them off the Interstate when I was in thestyx of Indiana, but we don't seem to have them here

Is it like a nationwide chain then?

we have a waffle house right in Medina, Ohio, but I have never eaten there- I'm not a big breakfast person, the only time I've ever eaten at one was on vacation somewhere with my parents

I believe IHOP is the one with crepes- have you ever tried to make them at home? they're not as hard as you might think....

yeah, the batter is just really thin and you have to make SURE the are done before you attempt to flip cause they will be ruined- it took a couple practice ones to get it right. I made some with strawberries- they were soooo good!

You can actually buy a pan specifically for making crepes. For the batter - there are two types - the thicker, heavier type for "entree" crepes and the thinner, more delicate batter for dessert crepes. You are so right though - they are delicious.

One I particularly like is the entree crepe filled with asparagus and any white cheese of your liking and bechemel sauce. Mmmmmm - delicious

I can't remember if I've ever gone to Waffle House, before, but I ate at Ihop once and ended up puking my guts up. I had ordered french toast, and the first bite was fine, a little weird, but okay...then the second bite just really threw me. I told mom I tasted onions (I detest onions...I throw up even if I THINK I smell/taste an onion in my food), and she didn't believe me, so I shrugged and took another bite, and then it was allll over. Mom looked, and sure enough there were onions in my french toast....

So! I'm very...VERY wary of waffle/pancake places, now...and will never...EVER go to ihop again...

The Kettle, however, I've been to a lot and they have awesome foods.

I think Waffle House is more a southern states kind of chain. We have IHOP which wasn't that impressive. If I want breakfast I'll go to Perkins!!

OMG, my bf is a HUUUGE fan of the awful waffle!!
Him and his friends go just about every night!
I like it every now and again, but I can't eat it every day like they can! I'm not a huge fan of IHOP, ours is kinda nasty feeling hen you walk in. Our Denny's is like that too! I can't even go in Denny's anymore, I just feel gross, like I need a shower!! BLEH!

there's actually a recipe similar to this in my latest cooking magazine- it has ham, asparagus and cheese, not sure about the sauce though- looked really good!
