can you guess that people misprounce it all the time?
That is the name of one of the main characters in my favorite book series! I always liked it.

Mine is Leighann, Leigh for short by some people. Occasionally Lee Lee too, but I don't care for that. I tend to prefer my whole name. I don't have a middle either!

Mine is Evelyn. Women always call me by my full name, but guys (including Shawn) frequently call me Ev, as do most of my siblings. One of my older brothers calls me Evvie, but when my little brother was a kid, he turned that into Heavy Evvie, so I don't necessarily want to invite that again ... "Ev" is just fine, as is "Evelyn."

I'm Sarah, but I rarely get called Sarah. It's always Sare, or Sares, which I like. A couple of friends call me Sare-Bare, which I don't mind either, and sometimes becomes Sarah-Barah! My ex-husband used to call me Scary, which I thought was funny. Max calls me Pooky.

Mum called me Sarahpen for the longest time (my middle name is Penelope) and that was my username here before the big December crash of 04, when I lost everything and had to rejoin.

Hi My name is Debbie. I some times get called Deb. My dad calls me Sis (?) and my mum runs through the gauntlet of siblings, grandchildren and once even a name that no one in our family has (Tracey) before she gets the right name but she does that with my sisters as well.

I really don't like to be called Deborah, thought I get that a lot.

A few close friends call me Steph. It bugs me when someone whom I've just met calls me Steph like they know me, sort of like being called "Sweetheart" or "Honey" or some other pet name by a stranger. Maybe it's just me.

Mine is Jana as in Jan - a. It used to bother me when I was younger that people didn't always get it (Jane - a, Janet, John-a, Yana, Janice) but now I will answer to most of them except Jane-a. Don't like that one.
