Wow. Thats vindictive. And insane!
If she sold it as a pet, then the papers shouldn't be a reason to be so angry. Something tells me we only have one side of the story here and if we heard from her it would be different. I suspect you're right, that he won't spay her so she won't give him the papers...

I tried googling Katherine Schulman to warn her in case she wants reclaim the kitten and this person has posted this everywhere they could.

How spiteful.

This is so sad
. The poor cat. This person could care less about her. Maybe the bengal rescue should be contacted or one of the breeders associations. I can't help but feel both parties are in the wrong here.

By the sounds of it the cat was sold as a breeder. Without papers you can't breed. Either way, this isn't right.

I just sent an e-mail to one of the breeders associations. We'll see if anyone knows how to get in touch with the breeder in question.

I hope she can get her kitten back from this person. IMO, it is just wrong to use this poor animal as a tool to get back at the breeder - even if she is at fault here, this isn't the way to solve the problem.

Can you tell it is a purebred bengal from the pic? I just wonder if it is a cute moggy, or mixed bengal, and they are just passing her off to increase the price, and appeal to the softhearted?

Under a stack of blueberry waffles.
A fantastic fellow who volunteers at a shelter and loves animals very much is trying to rescue the cat from that guy, and most likely will keep her. He said that he will keep us posted.

Sounds like a great way for the kitty to find a good home!

Its really hard to tell from the picture if she is purebred or not. My gut instinct says she is. Her tail has dark contrasting ringlets. I can't tell if she is really faint coloring that hasn't come in yet or if she is a darker snow (sorry not very good with snow coloring yet). The only reason I say this is her spots are very faint but this could just be a bad picture too. Her ears look a little big, but kittens tend to grow into them. I'm not sure I would call her a breeder but everyone has their own opinions on what is breeder and what isn't. Her thumb also looks a little big, but again this could just be a really bad pic and an optical illusion. Her head, profile (from what I can tell) and eyes seem bengal to me.

So its hard to tell. If I could see her pattern it would be easier to really identify. One of the other bengal breeders with more experience than me might have a better idea.
