It's a chore plus it takes twice as long because the girls think it's playtime with it
Oh the joys! I don't mind them being there when I put the fitted sheet on as they are hilarious because they chase the creases as they move but when I'm putting the duvet inside the cover I shut the bedroom door (yes meanie I know). They can come back in when it's time to shake it because they love lying underneath it and trying to catch it.

Does anything go over the duvet?? A bedspread to me is what goes on top.

I change them every two weeks or so. Sometimes during a hectic month it goes almost 3 weeks (ick!) I try to do it as often as possible becasue I can't stand sleeping in a dirty bed. It drives me crazy!!

Movin' on up!
Mine are changed weekly. Last weekend, due to the weather warming up, I even swapped out my satin quilt for my cotton comforter.

Bed-changing procedure:

1. strip off linens

2. get fresh linens from linen closet

3. remove cat from linen closet

4. spread bottom sheet on mattress.

5. remove cat from under bottom sheet and finish tucking.

6. spread top sheet.

7. remove cat from between top and bottom sheets and smooth top sheet.

8. put fresh pillowcases on pillows and put on bed.

9. spread quilt/comforter/bedspread on bed.

10. try to smooth large lump, in middle of bed and realize that it is a cat.

11. say "to heck with it", crack open a Pepsi, light a cigarette and read a good book.
