I pay $70 a month, which is good for me, I still get a discount for Good Student, No accidents and something else too. I think its like $840 a year - thats pretty cheap, considering the coverage I have!

I think it also helps that I don't have a sporty car - I try to stick with the mid sized cars, which means the insurance is CHEAPER!

I've been in two accidents, and I wasn't at fault for either one. Fortunately, neither one increased my insurance bill.

My state is notorious for high auto insurance rates, so I think my $84 bill every month is pretty decent.

I've been in 2 accidents, neither of them were my fault, and my insurance didn't go up at all. My insurance didn't even go up when I got a speeding ticket but that was a long time ago (10+ years). I pay about $800 per year for full coverage and I live in California.

Ours went up when hubby was hit from behind on the highway a few years back. Didn't seem fair to me as the accident wasn't his fault, but you know insurance companies!

I just changes insurance companies Monday but the one I have been with since I started driving was going to charge me more since I have had 3 accidents only one I was at fault. The company I am with now isn't charging me for those accidents and since I chose the gold plan I have accident forgivness for one accident if and when it happens. I pay about 78 a month for it so its not too bad at all!

Wow! I'm so envious of all of you!
I'm paying $660 every 6 months and I'm on the Costco program. I shopped around but can't beat that...plus I have only been in one accident and it wasn't my fault!
I can't wait until I start up school again this fall and begin to get the student discount for good grades!

I got into a car accident in Sept. 2004. I was paying $80.00 a month and then after the accident, it shot up to $130.00 a month.

I have been calling around for quotes on car insurance and I can't believe how much it would cost me if I went else where. The highest quote was $3000. Per year!

As I am shopping for business insurance I got another quote from our homeowner's company and it would be about $85 less every 6 months. Right now for the 2 vehicles we are paying for BOTH vehicles about $78/month.

Our insurance is very affordable. We have 3 vehicles covered and pay something like $750 or so for 6 months.

We have gone to no-fault insurance here in Ontario, Canada. What that basically means is that even if someone hits me (i.e., not my fault), my insurance company pays for the repair rather than going through all the paperwork, etc. or getting the money from the other person's insurance company. In this case my insurance rates will not go up since this was not my fault even though it cost my insurance company money. On the other hand the lady that hit me will have to pay higher premiums on her next renewal even though her insurance did not have to pay my insurance company because there will be a record or her having had an accident for which she was at fault.

For both my husband and I and 2 cars with complete coverage we pay about 1200 per year. We use an insurance agent (same one I've been using for 30+ years and they shop around for me every year before renewal) and have no complaints.

uh.... quite a few times! at one point my car insurance was more than my monthly car payment
now its about $130.00/month, but its only that high because I was without insurance for a few months. Right now I have 2 speeding tickets and a total accident on my record. I just had one speeding ticket fall off and I have 1 year on the accident, but over 2 years for the last speeding ticket. My record hasn't been clean since 3 months after i got my license
Yes I'm a terror behind the wheel

my mom absolutely refuses to ride in a car I am driving, and I swear I'm not exaggerating here, she's only done it 2 times in 10 years
