Hi,.I just adopted 2 abandoned cats,.one that had been seen by a vet recently,.and rec'd a combo shot,.and also,.had been wormed,.then,.she had severe diaherra,.and was throwing up,.so I rushed her to the vet,.where I had her fel-leuk tested,.with the combo test,.then,.they also wormed her,.could this be why she was sick,.the worming,.and now a 2nd time,.not knowing that she had just been to a vet,.I was lead to beleive that she had NOT been,.Help,is there anything that I can do,.???she has been over wormed,...and is wanting to eat 24/7,.could this also explain it???
Is she going to be ok,with the double worming??Now she is also on meds,.amoxi drops, liquid, and also metronadazole tabs,.she is really fighting us to take the meds,.any ideas as to how to get them down her easier???Just asking,.I will give her her meds till they are all gone,.but,.it'd be easier if there could be something else to try,..
Thanks,

Worming any animal usually causes an increase in appetite, so she should be fine. I hope they feel better soon.

I hope you baby will be ok. I don't know anything about over worming I just know you should wait about 14 days inbetween the 1st and 2nd session.

I'm glad to hear the medicain administration is going better, I have terrible trouble with that when it comes to Asim and pills. *sigh* It got to the point where we had to bring him to the vet every day 2x per day *beacuse this really stressed him out* He was too stressed to fight back with the vet, so he took the pill.

At home it was his enviroment and his right to fight.

Hi everyone,.I am sad to say that she isn't getting any better,.I am going to talk to the vet tomorrow,.and just see if maybe,.its her food,.maybe,.she just has a simple food allergy,.there is special foods for cats with allergies,.but this is starting to sound way too familar to me,.,and after spending well over $500.00,.the cat wasn't any better,.so we ended up losing him anyway,.I am just sick,.I don't know what to do,.theres nothing left to even try,.that I can think of,.anyway,.and the vet can't work miracles,.espcially when they don''t know what is wrong, and have tried all that they do know to do,.
I will keep you guys posted,.
Thanks for listening,.

Has the vet done any bloodwork on the cat or a fecal analysis? Maybe you could take her to a different vet in your area? I'm really sorry to hear that she is not getting better.

HI,.Yes,.they have done a fecal,.and they want to do more blood work,.too,.I have to talk to my husband though first,.since its so costly,.& see what our options are,and also maybe get a 2nd opinion,.we'll see how that goes.
