Y'know, those metal things on wheels at the grocery store??.....

Well what do you call them?

I call them shopping carts.

I CALL THEM Trolleys

TROLLIES! of course.

Grocery cart or shopping car, didn't know there were other names!

I just call them Carts

OMG I can't believe I came back to the poll and there was no Trollies. Lol. I've never heard them called anything else!

I honestly didn't even know there was something else to call them!

What got you to wondering about this?

Since I'm from the Northeast, I call them carts, but a lot of people I know in FL call them buggies.

Never heard the checkout scanner thing called that before! Got me wondering what everyone would call shopping carts, especially in different countries/areas.... I know sometimes I myself even find it hard to follow my train of thought

Edited to add Trolley and changed the 2 Other votes to Trolley.

We just say going through the checkout or the till.

You know at supermarkets how they have people pushing the trollies? they are called Trollyoligists(sp?) here!

Thats the first thing that came to my mind when they said Trolley!

Okay... I guess this is the "southerner" in me....I call them buggies! Every once in a while I might call it a cart, but very rarely. I have NEVER heard it called a trolley, it made me giggle! (Not making fun of y'all, just shows how much I need to travel out of the country!)
