Okay, this might be a toughie, but after reading your responses, this question popped into my head:

*If you (for some unfathomable) reason had to give up one of these two things to have in your life, which would you give up: music or animals. What would be your reasons for your choice?

Second question:

*Are you bringing your flute to the Chicago TCS meet-up...you know a little music to go with brunch?

1. If it came down to it, I think I'd give up music. Music is my passion, sure, but it's kind of self-indulgent in many ways. I don't think I could let another life down just so I was fulfilled in the way music fulfills me. Working with animals is also fulfilling and it's also part of my soul. I've never found it to be a vocational calling the the way I feel music is, but when there are other lives in question that need my help, I can give up even the most fulfilling thing.

Let's just hope it never comes to that! That would be one of the toughest decisions I'd ever have to make. My music, my animals and my family are those things that I cling to and take very seriously!

2. Ian lives about 1/2 a block from Nookie's, right off Halsted. I'll give a little concert to whoever wants to make the little walk
You can also meet his roommate's ADORABLE kitties

What is your favourite colour?

Do you like to dress up?

What is your fav restaurant?

Do you have a lucky charm or lucky piece of clothes?

Have you ever been robbed?

If you could get a hug from any one person in the world (other then family or friends) who would you liked to be hugged by?

Are you good at math?

How many languages do you speak?

What is your favourite colour?
I really like lavendar, seafoam green and HOT PINK!

Do you like to dress up?
You're talking to the girl who had to dress like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's to go to a high school dance.

What is your fav restaurant?
Nice: The Green Zebra
Somewhere I can go everyday for lunch or carryout: The Pick Me Up Cafe Or, the PMU, as we in the 'hood' call it

Do you have a lucky charm or lucky piece of clothes?
I have lucky shoes and I also have many things that are unlucky that I won't wear to auditions, etc.

Have you ever been robbed?
Not unless you count having my locker broken into when I was a sophomore in High School.

If you could get a hug from any one person in the world (other then family or friends) who would you liked to be hugged by?
Huh. That's tough. We'll go with Jon Stewart. I'm in love with him.

Are you good at math?
Very. But I hate taking math.

How many languages do you speak?
Eh. Just english. I've studied Italian and French to the point where I could travel there and be ok, but I'm nowehere even remotely near fluent.

These are fun!! More, more!!

Have you ever witnessed a crime?

Do you yawn after someone else yawns?

Do you understand men?

Do you want to understand men?

If you could be granted one talent for something that you currently cannot do, what talent would you want?

If you found out that the world were going to end in 24 hours, what would you do before it happens?

If you were given a "do-over" or any one thing that has happened in your life, would you do it and what would you change?

No, I'm here...I thought this had disappeared!

I have 10 minutes before rehearsal...watch me go!

THANKS AMY!

~Have you played the same flute since you first started playing?
Nope, I'm on #3. I sarted on a Gemeinhardt student model, jumped to a Jupiter de Medici and now I play on a Verne Q. Powell Conservatory handmade

~How did you develop your (completely awesome) political/social beliefs?
It had a lot to do with growing up with a radical feminist poli-sci major and Chicago Democrat as parents. But I think mostly, my parents have always taught me about social justice and service. Unfortunately, in this day and age, that's become partisan and associated with the extreme left.

~Do you get Ms. Magazine?
I sure do!

~Have you ever/would you ever consider a career in politics?
I don't know if it's for me. I'd probably just get really angry and offensive. I can be really, really aggressive about things when I get charged up.

~How did you meet Ian?
We lived across the hall from each other in our freshman dorm. I went to the boy's side to look for someone tall to help me, and found Ian, who stands at a mighty 5' 5". He lent me his step stool and sat down on my butterful chair and the rest is history.

~...and what did you do on your first date?
Went to Bistro 110, which is down by Water Tower if you've ever been to Chicago.

~How did you discover TCS?
Off of someone's blog, interestingly enough.

~Is there one person in this world who just the thought of makes you nauseous?
Oh Amy. I think you know the answer to this question. Actually there are several. Here's an incomplete list: George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, John Ashcroft, Donald Rumsfeld, Bill O'Reilley, Pat Roberston, Jerry Falwell

~What is the last movie you saw? Two thumbs up or two thumbs down?
V for Vendetta, thumbs up. You'd like it.

~When (if) do you see yourself getting married?
Looking at fall 2007 or Spring 2008

Have you ever witnessed a crime?
Yes...not something I want to be doing often.

Do you yawn after someone else yawns?
YES! I yawned just from reading the word "yawn"

Do you understand men?
No. It's either far too complex or far too simple for me. I can't figure out which.

Do you want to understand men?
Eh. If I have extra time someday.

If you could be granted one talent for something that you currently cannot do, what talent would you want?
I'd want to be able to be a ballerina!

If you found out that the world were going to end in 24 hours, what would you do before it happens?
Oh boy. Only 24 hours? Do you REALLY want to know??

If you were given a "do-over" or any one thing that has happened in your life, would you do it and what would you change?
I figure that I'm happy now and that everything I've ever done inevitably lead up to me, sitting here on this couch, with cats draped all over me, just off of a satisfying practice session and a good morning rehearsal, so I don't think I'd do it. I'm happy where I am and if I want to take the long road and change it, I have nothing but time.

Have you ever ...

broken a bone?
Nope

had stitches?
No again!

been to the principals office?
Not because I was in trouble

fallen down in public?
This is like a daily occurence for me.

been fired?
No, I usually quit before it comes to that.

been horseback riding?
I used to have my own horse!

been kicked out of a movie theater?
Nope

been on TV?
Yes! I was on the Bozo Show when I was 9. I did the relay race they always had at the end of the show, and my sister did the Bozo Buckets! And I've been on the cable-access cultural channel pretty regulalry..

He died

Favorite food to cook for Ian??
Hmmmm...pasta di stalla

Which came first the chicken or the egg??
The world will never know, but there's this great far side cartoon in which the chicken and the egg are laying in bed and the egg is smoking a cigarette and he says "I guess that answers THAT question"....so dirty and inappropriuate, yet hilarious.

Change a flat tire?
You betcha!

Snow ski?
I'm scared of the lifts, and I never properly learned. Ian is bound and determined to change that and he's fresh back from Colorado

Water ski?
I've never tried

Ride a unicicle?
I've never tried that either!

Juggle?
On an inconsistent basis

Touch your nose with your tongue?
Nope, sadly not.

Do a cartwheel?
Sure can!

Sew?
A little bit. I know a few stitches and I can operate a machine to a certain degree

I can never think of any questions that others haven't already asked!
Did you get my PM about your doggie questions?

While at your computer, do you munch on something? I ask because I do, on sunflower seeds. I'm addicted!
