YAY!! We put the Soft Paws on the cats this evening (which they were EXCELLENT about the application of, I might add), and let Maisie the Bunny out when they were used to the Soft Paws. Things went wonderfully!! For the first time, Maisie actually came out of her cage fully and started hopping around just a bit.

Our female cat, Sunny, almost went into her cage, because Maisie was racing around inviting her in. It was so cute...undeniable that she was trying to get Sunny to come into her house, so she could show her around and they could play where Maisie's more comfortable. It was GREAT!!

Then shortly after realizing Sunny wasn't going to come in, she laid down, and let me know she was done for the time being. CUTE!!

A little each day, and by the end of the week, they'll probably be starting to play!

Thanks for the advice about Soft Paws, guys!! They're GREAT, and our babies were SO good when we were putting them on. We watched them for about half an hour after application, so we could be sure they weren't trying to take them off. They're now fairly comfortable with them, and it's only been about an hour!

Yaaayyyy!! Its so good to hear that bunny and kitties are getting along with no dclawing necessary! Have you considered putting soft paws on the bunny? I don't know what kind of claws they have though... maybe that wouldn't work.

Its great to hear everyone is getting along!

Bunny claws don't have the same shape as kitty claws, so no, it wouldn't work.

Thank you so much for the idea, though!

Last night, Maisie (the bun) came out and they each sniffed noses. The kitties each took a swat at her face, but it was ok because they have the Soft Paws on. Maisie took it all in stride, too. She hopped back into her cage with the first one, and wanted a little petting, but the second time, she came over, I pet her nose a little, and she went right back to playing. It was really adorable. They didn't do it in a mean way, more like surprise at her hopping right up to them, and unfamiliarity as to what she is. (It was actually kinda cute...lol.)

I didn't discipline the kitties at all in response, I figure they've got to go through a process, and they're acting just like they would with other cats. Sometime soon they'll get over it, and they'll all be playing together. They're just not used to Maisie's boldness.

Anyway, YAY!! I'm happy things are going so smoothly with my babies. Soon they'll be chasing each other all over the room! :LOL!!
