Have you done a thorough cleaning of your computer keyboard lately? I took the caps off all the keys of my keyboard today to clean, and my oh my, what a mess! One would think that there was a new cat being formed in there with all the cat hair.

So how clean is your keyboard?

I have never taken the keys off of my keyboard.
I guess I will have to try it but I am afraid....very afraid.

Forget the keyboard, have you opened your mouse recently?

My mouse looked like it ate a cat! LOL

I have a battery-operated mouse, so I have to replace the batteries about once a month. (Yeah, I use that mouse a lot!) So I do clean that thing out regularly. When I had my old mouse with a mouse-ball, there would often be so much hair in that thing that it would quit working until I cleaned it! This is the first time I've cleaned the keyboard, though, since I got this computer a year and a half ago. Yuck! The amount of hair and dander in there was unbelievable!

I just cleaned my keyboard out a few weeks ago. I had enough cat hair in there to stuff a sofa.

I would not even like to think about it. I was looking at the laptop keypad today and I could see heaps, the cats always like to walk over that!

Theres a couple of cat hairs on my keyboard, but only beacuse Layla doesn't go near the comp. too often. Most of the hair is from me petting her then hopping right on the computer.

Under a stack of blueberry waffles.
3 or 4. it is a new keyboard (black, and my cat's a grey, white, and cream tabby, so they show up very well in contrast. Good thing this thing came with an optical mouse. I'd dread having to clean a cat hair-clogged mouse.

Ummm, so can anybody tell me how you take the keys off? I didn't know you could do that, and I'm afraid of breaking the keyboard!

I guess there are quite a few hairs under my keyboard, Laura loves to run over it and often when I'm chatting she'll add a personal "comment"

However, Carter often just lies next to my chair and sometimes he comes to snuggle up against my back

I can just imagine the amount of cat hair I'll find when I clean my keyboard.
The kitties tend to hang around the computer desk a fair amount...

John cleans out the keyboard weekly with compressed air in a can he gets from Costco, so our keyboard is relatively fur free (the only thing in the house that is!

None at the office, probably tons at home since Gracie naps on the keyboard.

I did a thorough cleaning back in January when the computer was in the shop. Lots of white cat hair, red lint from the sweater I wear, and chocolate cookie crumbs.
