I do have three cats (Wowzer, Gracie & Nate), but have been learning and playing around a lot with siggys, so that's why it changed. I've managed to get one cat, now I just need to get them all on the same page!
This is the bad part about an internet forum. You get involved with someone's life and they just up and disappear. It happens all too often. I know I can think of quite a few people who have left in the 4 years I've been here that I do think about and wonder how they are doing...
I know what you mean,i've only been a member since october last year and i know there are a lot of names that were on here then and now the'yre not.It is sad.

People's lives take different directions, and regular posting on a message board does not always fit in. Over the 5 years that I have been here, I have seen many evolutions of our regularly-posting member base.

What a shame about Vespacat. I hope she's ok. Although her last few posts here were about the struggle she's having with her illness so I guess she's got other things going on in her life at the moment.
I am thinking about `dismembering' myself
from the dog forum that I am on. I got heavily involved there for a while, because dog welfare and training is an issue so close to my heart, but some of the people over there are so nasty to each other! Honestly, half the threads end up as personal attacks going back and forth and have nothing to do with OP at all. I tried very hard to mediate a lot of the time, but I realised that it's not my problem if people want to be like that. It's a shame, because other than that it's an excellent site, but it was really, really bringing me down there for a while until I stopped visiting so often.

I know I have had periods when I've been really active on here (I feel like I'm starting one now LOL) and then I'm away for long stretches...usually when I'm overwhelmed by life. Like the quote from Jennifer Unlimited: "I try to take life one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once." I can so relate to that quote, LOL.
And then when I come back, it's such a warm fuzzy feeling to see that people actually remember who I am!

And Nebula (Bridget) - I was so pleased when they moved into that awesome apartment. Maybe she's just too busy right now with her studies.
I can see being inactive. We all get busy. It suprises me to read that some people are no longer members though. It makes me wonder if we somehow upset them.
I wonder if Meeka's mom is ok and if Meeko is ok. If you have heard from them can you fill us all in. I have had them both and the babies in my thoughts and prayers.
