Hey all,

My one year old female cat just had this weird hiccup sounding thing. It lasted about 6 breathes in and out..really quick little hiccup breaths.

Anyone know if this is normal? She never has done it before, and now is acting completely fine and normal..

Ideas?

My cat has this once in awhile. I also had a cat that did more human hiccups if it drank water that was dripping out of the faucet- maybe swallowed some air.

my mum has Korats, and one of them gets hiccups - she always looks as bemused as we are but she doesn't seem to mind, and it's not related to eating/drinking - just comes out of the blue

Lucky gets them quite a bit. Seems to come after she settles down from a vigourous grooming session. She always looks quite put out about it. I find if I rub her back and chest they pass pretty quickly.
