Somehow someone must have spilled a HECK of a LOT of aftershave on their driveway and yesterday Ben rolled in it. NOW he REEKS of it. I cannot bathe him but it is all over his head and scruff and part of his back.

Can anyone tell me what to do outside of a bath?

Hmmm...
Unless you mean you can't get him wet at all, I would wet a washcloth or something and just rub the aftershavey parts.
Or maybe put some kind of powder on him to dry it up? Flour? And then comb it out really well. (I don't know if flour is okay for cats?)
Afterthought: Why on earth would someone have spilled aftershave in the drive?

LOL! I think maybe it was the man and he just had a lot on and he was bending down. Maybe it was on his hand or something! ALL I know is Ben reeks of it.

I took a washcloth and wiped him down and I am Hoping he won't smell so!

What is even weirder is HE likes the smell! Macho cat! <sigh>

I know my cats used to stink of aftershave because my Dad used to rub their faces after he had put on his aftershave!!

I always knew where the cats had been!!

The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
Maybe I'm wrong but should you not take him to the vet incase he has licked any of it off himself? I don't know how good it is for their insides...
I'd imagine someone was doing their shopping or something and it fell out the bag and smashed? I know I've done similar things before.
I hope he's ok. Maybe he wanted to attract the ladies

sorry, couldn't help but laugh at that....try the dry shampoo the pet stores sell...it works pretty well if you can't give them a wet bath.

This happens with my dog and my dad... it was great when I was younger cuz dad would hug the dog before he left for work and then she would smell of him all day long and I wouldn't miss dad so much when he was at work
My dad wears "Aspen" and whenever I smell it, I think of him

If you're worried about the licking it off, you could give the vet a ring and see what they say...
