Hi,
I have always trimmed my cats claws, Siamese/ Oriental are easy as they stick out anyway, Daisy's are OK but I am having trouble with Chloe's. She has very furry feet, tufts of fur between the pads, and I am finding it difficult to see her claws. Anyone one got any help-full hints?

I find that if you gently press the main pad they will stick their claws out for you. Maybe that might be worth a shot?

I tickle paw pads while they sleep.
They obligingly spread their toes out..

What I was trying to say was that when you do that, her claws still don't come out passed the furry tufts between her toes.

I have the same problem with Baker, so I get DH to help separate the fur while I clip

Yeah, there's not much you can do besides push the fur back. Sometimes you can just blow on it quick to push fur aside. It's a real pain when trying to put on Soft Claws!

I know what you mean. Had rexes so long, I'm spoiled by how easy it is to do nails

I had a turkish angora and it was difficult to find those nails at times. You might want to have another person hold the cat and you can search for the nails better. Be sure to get that top "thumb" claw!

I have the same problem... most of mine have tuffy toes.
I just try to pull the fur back as best as I can.
