my cat is in heat

She is driving me crazy.. I mean is it normal for her to go around all day with her butt in the air mewing? ? ? I mean she isnt the first cat that I have had that has gone into heat before I got her fixed but Its all she has been doing all day long!! She pees on things too, when she goes into heat ; Is there anything that I can do to stop that?

the ONLY thing you can do is spay her. It isn't healthy for her to keep going in and out of heat without being spayed.

The only other thing you can do in the mean time is keep her in a dimly lit, quiet room, play soft music. But you really need to have her spayed. Is there a reason you waited so long? If you need low cost clinics tell us where you live and we can help.

Oh yes, everything she's doing is completely normal for a cat in heat. I agree with Jen that the only thing that's going to stop the behaviour is getting her fixed. It's so uncomfortable for the poor babies. How old is your kitty?

I know what you mean-we would put Bobber in the basement or the garage at night so we could sleep. As the others said spaying will fix this behavior!!
She's spaying to make males aware of her situation. Are there tomcats around outside that she can sense??
