Ok, so I have a funny question that I've never bothered to find out. Do cats, how shall I say, pass gas? I suspect they don't do it often, as I've never heard it, though I have once before smelled something akin to it around Hobbes a few times during one day. (I wonder what he ate that day...hmm.)

Anyway, do you guys know? I've just never bothered to find this out, though I at times suspected. I can hardly ASK without breaking into a giggle...lol...

Unfortunately the answer to this is OH YEAH! My cats Shadow and Merlin have been known to do some pretty powerfull Silent but Deadly of course right when they are curled up on my chest. It always occurs usually when they are at their most comfortable state.

Phewwww! They certainly can. For such small creatures they can pass a lot of it too.

Most often happens after a cat has eaten something it shouldnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t, dairy products or carbohydrates.

My cat used to fart on us all the time when she was little. It usually happened if she had just eaten and we picked her up. She'd be getting pets on your lap, with her bum aimed right at you... It was so strong smelling for a little kitten, we'd have to put her down and sometimes leave the room!

Luckly she's become more modest with age, so it seems... She still farts on the ocassional visitor, just to show the high standards we set around my household...

It seems to me that the kittens I have had do it waaay more often then the adult cats. Although my cat Bowie still does it occationally.

My cat had worms when we first got her, and hooey crap! I know most cats fart silently but she sure didn't!
One time, she was walking through my room and farted LOUD, like she had stepped on a whoopee cushion. She scared herself! She stood stock still for a second, looked around and then RAN. This continued until the vets dewormer started kicking in.
I know she does sometimes still. I've noticed personally that cats that have been stray always have gas for their first few months in their forever homes. Worms? I don't know...

I've taken ummm....a direct hit to the face! That was when Mooch was still a small kitten so it wasn't quite so bad! But yeah, she was pretty much aiming for my face. Glory used to toot too. The loudest ever was when she was a kitten, my cousin went to pick her up and it was like she kinda squeezed one out of her. My cousin never picked her up again!
