Fever?

Hello all!

How would I be able to tell if one of my girls has a fever? I don't have a thermometer, but I am going to buy one tomorrow...

You can use a digital thermometer, rectally. Lubricate the thermometer well with something like Vaseline. It's worth it to spend the extra few $ for one that gives a 10-second reading since cats understandably don't really like having the thermometer in their bums.

Signs of fever are lethargy, lack of appetite, not wanting to jump up (due to achiness), and feeling warm to the touch. Any two of these signs should be considered possibly indicative of fever.
