Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector

I won us tickets to a preview screening of the movie last night. It opens today. Overall, I would give it 7 out of 10 stars.

It's funny. It's Larry. It's Larry the whole way through the movie. So if you like Larry the Cable Guy in Blue Collar Comedy Tour or Blue Collar TV, you'll like the movie. If you can't handle bodily functions ( the plot revolves around a rash of food poisonings at upscale restaurants), and if fart noises and jokes make you queasy - skip the movie.

I was honestly pleasantly surprised by how good the movie was. I figured it would be a pared down Larry, like Hollywood did to so many comedians in the past. But it really did stay true to his comedy.

I'm looking forward to seeing it!!

I wish I liked Larry the Cable Guy, since I used to think he was funny. Then I found out he went to private school in Kansas, and his whole act is totally fake... including his accent and his blue collar. I know all comics fake it, but it just seems wrong.
That movie does look really funny though.

I think I'll wait to see it on DVD, not sure its worth spending $20 + for me and John to go sit in a theatre and watch it!

That looks hillarious. I haven't seen it yet but I have the first two blue collar comedy tours on DVD. I'm gonna rent it and if it's good I'll buy it.
