Hullo, all
...I'm Cort from Texas, and my parents and I own...7 cats and 3 dogs(a white mini poodle, a black mini poodle, and a collie). When they ask if I was raised in a barn, I can justly say 'yes'
As I said we have 7 cats, Franny, the oldest, is 7 and she's a torti. My dad and I were looking for a cat for mom (and this was when we already had three...) and we had just about given up, having searched 2 cities. Then we found an add in the paper, went to this persons house, and there were three kittens. There was one that really liked me...but as I said, we were looking for one for mom. So we got the torti...besides, my own cat (now deceased, along with the other two) would not have been very happy. The kittens had been abandoned even by their own mom when the lady found them...Franny still nurses, and she's 7.
Dominic, a HUGE (not overweight, just big) white cat with tan markings and gorgeous, expressive blue eyes. We're pretty sure he's part siamese. He's our wal-mart kitty. We had guests over, and dad had gone to wal-mart to get some stuff, and he came back with a cat...apparently he had only stopped to look at the kittens which were being given away, and then dom was thrust in his arms and he walked away in a trance
Flee-ridden and an incredible convincer, we kept him. He's 6.
Then there is Cosmas and Damian...twin brown tabbies. They, their mom, and brothers/sisters were found abandoned in the field, and she was absolutely TINY, and they were sucking her dry. The only reason why we even have them is because a stray dog had found us and my mom and dad were giving her to her new parents...then asked to see the cats.
They're 4.
Now, Calistas and Benny. Calli is a beautiful calico, with blue eyes, who was very sickly...almsot died a few times. Then we switched the food to sensitive systems and she's allll better now. Benny is a short-legged grey and white tuxedo cat...who happens to be a loveable jerk. He loves antagonizing everyone...he's kind of the school-yard bully, now that there's no alpha (my cat, Moose, was the last Alpha...no one else seemed to want the job... They're about 2 and a half.
The newest is Gemma, about a year and a half. She's a stray I found at church a couple weeks ago...and she's preggers. She's another gorgeous calico, but with ORANGE eyes...not yellow or green...ORANGE. She's an absolutely tiny cat, but she looks huge! She's due to give birth any day!
