During the work week, Secrette Miller is a project manager in the high-tech industry.
When she's not at work, Miller, 40, is likely to be trapping wild, or feral, cats in Renton, Newcastle, Bellevue and Tukwila.
Miller is part of a little-known but close-knit network of animal lovers, some of them working from dawn to after dusk and traveling hundreds, even thousands, of miles a year in a quest to help stray cats and kittens.
Contrary to the somewhat romantic image popularized by the band Stray Cats 25 years ago, homeless cats are an animal population in peril.
